  • Publication number: 20210071809
Abstract: A formable support stand system for portable electronic devices that provides a manner to support a device such as a tablet computer in a variety of orientations from a supporting surface such as a tray or table. The embodiments comprise a flex-rod prop, and a fastener for attaching the prop to an electronic device, such that the flex rod resists deformation, but can be adjusted into a wide variety of positions. The stand system is adapted for use with devices used by those with limited or erratic motor control, in order to allow positioning of the screen face of a tablet computer in a chosen orientation relative to a support tray on a wheelchair, for instance. The stand system comprises a flexible, positionable flex-rod, an anti-skid sleeve and is removeably attached to the electronic device by means of rod clamp system. The formable support system is also provided as a kit for retrofitting existing devices.

  • Publication number: 20190062042
Abstract: A single-serve coffee package has an outer envelope having one folded edge and three heat-sealed edges, comprising 95% by weight materials that are compostable and demonstrate bio-degradability, a filter bag fully within the outer envelope, having one folded edge and sealed edges, forming a closed envelope having opposite sides, each side comprising one layer of filter material, fully compostable and biodegradable, the filter material exhibiting a plurality of openings through the material, enabling water to pass through, the openings having no dimension exceeding a minimum dimension, a volume of grains of ground coffee within the filter bag, dimensions of the grains precluding coffee grains passing through the openings through the filter material, and an atmosphere of gas within the outer envelope, enveloping the filter bag and the coffee grains, the gas inert relative to materials exposed within the outer envelope.

  • Publication number: 20140286522
Abstract: The invention disclosed is an improved audio output module for use with an artificial voice generation device, having a housing separated into a sound system chamber, an interface chamber, and a power source chamber. The interface and power source chambers may be combined. The sound chamber is isolated from external air by the housing, the cover plate, and a separating wall, which separates it from other chambers of the module. Volumetric parameters based on speaker characteristics and design requirements can thus be implemented independent from the choice of interface type. The module is configurable to be mounted to an external structure or to a speech generating system. It may likewise be detachable from a quick release cradle and receive wireless audio signals from the speech generating system.
