  • Publication number: 20210169057
Abstract: An apparatus for spreading the mouth of a bottom trawl comprising an array of flexible foil shaped kites that is capable of being mounted proximate to a wing of the bottom trawl, and wherein each of the kites in the array of flexible foil shaped kites has the same chord length and comprises: a middle kite foil section having an outer profile shape (preferably substantially a NACA 5319 shape) that is capable of assisting in spreading the mouth of the bottom trawl when in use, and having pockets extending longitudinally therethrough that house rope or wire of varying diameter, and a first and second endplate attached at each of a first and second distal end of the middle kite foil section respectively for maintaining a desired rigidity of the kite foil section, said first and second endplates having openings there through in communication with the pockets of the middle kite foil section, such that the rope or wire of varying diameter securely extends through said openings in the first and second endplate.

  • Patent number: 4387612
Abstract: The turning head comprises a support member (1) which is to be secured to the spindle of a machine tool. The support member (1) has a radially adjustable slider (4) which carries a tool (5). An adjusting rod (7) is displaceable coaxially with respect to the support member (1) and acts on at least one helically toothed rack (8) which is axially movable in the support member (1). Arranged on the slider (4) is a toothed bar (10) which extends in the direction of movement thereof and whose inclined teeth (10a) mesh with those of the rack (8) and are inclined at the same angle (.beta.) as the teeth of the rack (8), with respect to the axis of rotation of the support member (1).

  • Patent number: 4067251
Abstract: The invention relates to a facing and inside-turning head comprising a supporting body to be fixed by its back to the spindle of a turning machine, a slide shiftable radially at the front of the supporting body in a guide extending perpendicularly and symmetrically with respect to the axis of rotation, to which slide a tool holder can be fixed, and an adjusting rod slidable in the supporting body coaxially with the axis of rotation and the axial movement of which produces a radial movement of the slide via an interposed drive along with a counter weight also actuatable by the interposed drive.
