Abstract: The application relates to a card game utilizing chance in the draw of cards that provides wagering options with a range of payouts and allows for active player participation. Examples include (i) providing a playfield including a gaming layout adapted for location and/or placement of at least two playing card elements and a wagering layout having indicia representing at least two possible characteristics of the playing card elements, (ii) accepting placement of a wager through use of the wagering layout indicia to nominate one or more of the possible characteristics, (iii) drawing a first playing card element and nominating one of its characteristics as a determinant characteristic, (iv) sequentially drawing subsequent card elements to generate an outcome including the number of subsequent playing card elements drawn in an uninterrupted sequence having the same characteristic as the determinant characteristic, and (iv) settling the wager on the basis of the generated outcome.

Abstract: An image processing, classification, and trend analysis system for selfie-enabled product promotion includes a selfie promotion server, including a product storage, a selfie promotion storage, a social network manager, a selfie promotion manager, a reward manager, and an image rating classifier that trains an image rating classification function; and a selfie promotion device, including a promotion designer, a product selector, a selfie capture component, a social network controller, and an image rating tester, such that the selfie promotion device allows a user to capture a selfie, in the form of a self-portrait picture, and create a selfie promotion campaign, including the selfie associated with a product, such that the selfie promotion server posts the selfie promotion campaign on a social network. Also disclosed is a method for selfie-enabled product promotion, including selecting a product, capturing selfie, promoting selfie, selling product, and calculating image rating classification function.

Abstract: An apparatus for shielding plants from adverse weather conditions includes a pair of telescopic elongated members, a pair of supporting members, and a shade member mountable on the pair of supporting members. Each of the pair of supporting members is disposed on a top end portion of a telescopic elongated member of the pair of telescopic elongated members. The shade member is capable of assuming an expanded configuration and a contracted configuration. In the expanded configuration, the shade member is adapted to cover a plant lying adjacent the pair of telescopic members to shield the plant from the adverse weather conditions. In the contracted configuration, the shade member is adapted to uncover the plant.
