  • Publication number: 20240167005
Abstract: An apyrase enzyme, characterized by that the apyrase comprises a polypeptide sequence having at least 70% sequence identity to the wild-type Shigella flexneri apyrase of SEQ ID NO:1, wherein said sequence differs from SEQ ID NO:1 at least in that the sequence comprises at least one amino-acid substitution of a residue aligning with a residue selected from: F53, L66 and E77; and the apyrase catalyzes the dephosphorylation of at least one organic phosphate with at least 10-fold lower Km compared to the apyrase of SEQ ID NO:1. Uses of said apyrase in ATP elimination and dephosphorylation of organic phosphates.

  • Patent number: 11788040
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device (10; 30; 50) for analysing liquid samples comprising amplified nucleic acids, said device comprising: a sample pad (16); a first (18) and a second (19) sample analysis strip configured to analyse different aspects of the nucleic acid sample wherein said segments comprise nucleic acid sequences which are complementary to the predetermined sequences of target nucleic acids whose presence or absence is analysed; and a housing (11) enclosing said sample pad and at least two elongated sample analysis strips wherein the analysis result is detectable from the outside of the housing from the combination of aligned segments of said first and second analysis strips. The invention furthermore relates to a method for determining the presence or absence of a target nucleic acid, providing confirmatory results, in combination with a predetermined sequence in a sample from a subject using the device according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20170321196
Abstract: A method, comprising the steps of providing a sample containing contaminating nucleoside diphosphates and/or nucleoside triphosphates, such as ATP and/or ATP analogues including deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates; reducing the amount of the contaminating nucleoside diphosphates and/or nucleoside triphosphates in the sample with an apyrase enzyme, wherein said apyrase enzyme is a Shigella flexneri apyrase; and performing an analysis of the sample, wherein said analysis comprises an assay that would have been affected by the contaminating nucleoside diphosphates and/or nucleoside triphosphates had they not been reduced in the reduction step.
