Abstract: A headlight for motor vehicles including a supporting housing adapted for securing an optical unit. The optical unit is in the inner space of the supporting housing mounted on three displaceable mounting nodes, each of which includes one system point and the system points are grouped together constituting a system triangle, whereby at least some mounting nodes are coupled to adjusting members located in the outer space of the supporting housing. A primary mounting node is provided with means for turning the system triangle without changing the position of a primary system point, a secondary mounting node is provided with means for changing the position of a secondary system point in the horizontal plane and a tertiary mounting node is provided with means for changing the position of a tertiary system point in all directions of the coordinate system.
