  • Patent number: 10648610
Abstract: A heat-insulated box for insulating parallel-slide valves includes multiple sections each including an outer protective steel envelope with a heat insulation coating on an inner surface. A number and configuration of sections is determined based on geometric parameters of the insulated valve. Some sections include two semi-cylindrical segments rigidly coupled together and oriented in mutually perpendicular directions such that one segment can be installed on the valve and one segment can be installed on the pipeline. The box also includes stiffeners at the junction of the two semi-cylindrical segments. The sections include shock-absorbing sealing gaskets made of cellular rubber substance to ensure a tight seal of the box. The box includes a locking mechanism for coupling the sections together.

  • Patent number: 10072435
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method of insulating tanks having a capacity between 200 m3 and 20,000 m3 used for storage of oil and oil products. In the method, foundation elements, including tank bottom heat insulation, are prepared. The tank is mounted on the prepared foundation, then insulation of the tank walls and roof is installed. Supporting relieving skirts are mounted on the tank walls and roof, forming tiers. The tiers are filled with foam glass blocks having expansion joints. A top coat of metal sheets is mounted on the outer surface of the blocks. Foam glass blocks in the lower tier are made to be removable to provide access to a “wall-bottom” corner weld joint, and the blocks of the remaining tiers are fixed to the tank surface and interconnected with an adhesive material.

  • Publication number: 20160341350
Abstract: The invention relates to heat insulation of pipes, and specifically to the installation of heat insulation on welded joint of pipes that are used for transporting oil and oil products. The method for installing heat insulation of welded joints of pipes for above surface pipelining includes providing anticorrosive protection of the welded joint of pipes using a heat-shrinkable polymeric tape, installation of polyurethane foam pipe coverings on the joint, fastening the pipe coverings using tie bands with locks, sticking hot-melt adhesive tape on the edges of the protective envelope of the pipe overlapping the polyurethane foam pipe coverings, and mounting a protective galvanized metal housing symmetrically to a center of the welded joint. The technical result provides anticorrosive protection and heat insulation of the welded joint, and the proposed method reduces cost and complexity of installation.

Abstract: The invention relates to fire and heat insulation of pipes, and specifically to the installation of fire and heat insulation on welded joint of pipes that are used for transporting oil and oil products. The method for installing heat insulation of welded joints of pipes for above surface pipelining includes providing anticorrosive protection of the welded joint of pipes using a heat-shrinkable polymeric tape, installation of glass foam pipe coverings on the joint, fastening the pipe coverings using tie bands with locks, sticking hot-melt adhesive tape on the edges of the protective envelope of the pipe overlapping the glass foam pipe coverings, and mounting a protective galvanized metal housing symmetrically to a center of the welded joint. The technical result provides anticorrosive protection and heat insulation of the welded joint, and the proposed method reduces cost and complexity of installation.
