  • Publication number: 20090144961
Abstract: A mirror mounting assembly is disclosed for use in a limited rotation motor system. The mirror mounting assembly includes a collar formed of a shape memory material and a mounting unit including a tapered base that couples with a tapered output shaft of a limited rotation motor under a radial force applied by the collar.

  • Publication number: 20050159228
Abstract: A rotor assembly is disclosed for a reciprocating rotor device comprising a vibration dampening composite that is fixed to a rotor. In various embodiments the vibration dampening composite may include a mass that is fixed with respect to the rotor using a compliant mounting material such as an elastomeric material or an acrylic adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4429336
Abstract: A rigid magnetic disc memory apparatus having an aperture formed in the base such that contaminants from the bearings are removed before they can migrate into the vicinity of the discs. In a preferred embodiment the aperture is located in the region of high pressure created by a rotor and stator assembly. The pressure differential causes air and contaminants to flow out of the disc drive enclosure. The pressure differential across the aperture is increased by connecting a duct between the aperture and the inlet side of the clean air supply blower.

  • Patent number: 4387409
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting of magnetic head arms on a head carriage in a disc drive memory system. The magnetic head arms are held firmly in place by clamping slug and bolt assemblies which are mounted through the head arm channel walls. The apparatus includes elements mounted in the head arm channel of the carriage for aligning and supporting the magnetic head arms in the channel.
