  • Patent number: 10929464
Abstract: Systems and techniques for generating and/or configuring a similarity heat map representative of similarities between two data sets are presented. The system can include an input component, a similarity component and a mapping component. The input component receives a first data set associated with a first media item and a second data set associated with a second media item. The similarity component computes similarity between a data value of the first data set and a corresponding data value of the second data set. The mapping component configures a data point of a similarity map to represent a match between the data value and the corresponding data value in response to a determination that information associated with the similarity does not match previously determined information associated with another similarity between another data value of the first data set and another corresponding data value of the second data set.

  • Patent number: 9619908
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying lines in a heat map representative of overlap between two data sets. In an aspect, a method includes generating a heat map comprising a plurality of data points that represent similarities between a first data set and a second data set. The method further includes identifying areas of the heat map within a region of the heat map comprising a potential match line, identifying short lines formed via subsets of the data points respectively contained within the areas, merging the short lines to form a long line, determining degrees of continuity along the long line, and identifying a portion of the long line associated with a degree of continuity above a continuity threshold.

  • Patent number: 8948512
Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for image processing using hierarchical expansion are provided. More particularly, the hierarchical expansion can include a merge expansion and/or a refine expansion. In some embodiments, a method for image processing, comprising: receiving a plurality of images, wherein each of the plurality of images has one of a plurality of resolutions; for a first image from the plurality of images that has a first resolution, determining a first set of labels corresponding to each pixel of the first image; and for a second image from the plurality of images that has a second resolution, generating a second set of labels corresponding to each pixel of the second image based on the first set of labels.

  • Patent number: 8428659
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes generating a first signal; generating vibrations in a mobile device based on the first signal; and sensing, using a microphone associated with the mobile device, sound generated by the vibrations. The method further includes generating an output based on the sound sensed by the microphone, measuring a level of the sound based on the output, and detecting a resonant frequency of the mobile device based on the level of the sound.
