  • Publication number: 20180284312
Abstract: A method of generating a data log includes receiving formation response signals with a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) tool. The method further includes processing the formation response signals to obtain a T1 distribution of nuclei of a mixture in the formation and performing a blind source separation (BSS) independent component analysis (ICA) on the T1 distribution. The method further includes obtaining mixing data, comprising ratios of components of the mixture, from the BSS ICA and generating a data log comprising the mixing data.

  • Patent number: 9090209
Abstract: A seating assembly for a vehicle including a seat movable between a raised vertical position and a lowered horizontal position. A storage cavity is defined by an underside of the seat. The storage cavity includes a plurality of vehicle emergency items. Retaining features are disposed on the underside of the seat and secure the plurality of vehicle emergency items. An access opening is disposed on the underside of the seat. A door covers the access opening and is pivotally connected to the underside of the seat. The door is maintained in a latched condition until the seat is moved to the raised vertical position. The door moves to an unlatched condition when the seat is in the raised vertical position and access to the access opening is possible.

  • Patent number: 8882419
Abstract: An interface system is provided for a truck box. A recess is formed in a sidewall of the truck box that is covered by a face plate. An interface apparatus may be inserted through an opening formed in the face plate. Sliding blocks may be included that are spring biased outwardly to permit an anchor portion of the interface apparatus to be compressed and inserted through the opening. The sliding blocks are then expanded within the recess to hold the interface apparatus to the sidewall of the truck box. A backing plate may be attached to an inside surface of the sidewall.

  • Patent number: 8781745
Abstract: Pulse sequences are applied to a fluid in an earth formation in a static magnetic field and NMR spin echo signals are obtained. The signals are processed to give a distribution of relaxation time at each of the plurality of depths. A quasi-DNA is obtained by autoscaling and a nonlinear mapping of T2 component logs and non-NMR logs. Similarities between the quasi-DNA of the two types of logs are used to estimate formation lithology and fluids.

  • Patent number: 8330460
Abstract: Pulse sequences are applied to a fluid in an earth formation in a static magnetic field and NMR spin echo signals are obtained. The signals are processed to give a distribution of a relaxation time at a plurality of depths. Semblance between the distributions and a log of a formation property are used to identify depths at which portions of the distributions are similar to the formation property logs.

  • Patent number: 7884602
Abstract: Disclosed is a non-lineal statistical independent component (ICA) analysis methodology for calculating T2 or T1 distributions of nuclear magnetic resonance logs. In one aspect, the invention employs a classical blind source separation (BSS) approach with the input data (T2 or T1 distributions) being considered not only horizontally (in relaxation time units), but also vertically (in depth). The statistical variations are used for separating the principal independent components and their corresponding weighting matrix. The result of such ICA based BSS is an efficient separation of T2 components correlative to the presence of particular conditions (e.g., clay bound water, heavy oil, capillary bound water, free water, mud filtrate (water and oil), and noise). Individual saturation of estimated fluids can be calculated from the weighting matrix generated in accordance with the invention.

  • Patent number: 7804297
Abstract: Pulse sequences are applied to a fluid in an earth formation in a static magnetic field and NMR spin echo signals are obtained. The signals are inverted to give T2 distributions at a plurality of depths. Similarities between logs of the T2 bins with resistivity and/or gamma ray logs are used to identify and subtract contributions to the NMR signal from oil. having internal gradients. From the received signals, relaxation and diffusion characteristics of the fluid are determined. The determination takes into account the internal field gradients. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b).
