  • Patent number: 9475444
Abstract: A roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle is disclosed. The roof module has at least one covering element which is adjustable in a guided manner along lateral guiding elements which are spaced apart from one another in the vehicle transverse direction between a closed position which covers a roof opening and an open position which releases the roof opening at least in a partial region. At least one of the guiding elements is formed at least in an absorption region as an energy absorption element which is deformable, thereby absorbing energy, in the case of an at least indirect impact of the head of a vehicle occupant with the energy absorption element.

    Assignee: Daimler AG

  • Publication number: 20030029512
Abstract: The invention relates to a hose arrangement for vehicles, having a hose line which is held by one end on a moveable vehicle part and by its other end on a fixed vehicle part, the distance between the ends of the hose line being shortened, in an end position of the moveable vehicle part in the vicinity of the fixed vehicle part, to an extent leading to a buckling load on the hose line. In order, in the course of relative movements of the moveable vehicle part with respect to the fixed vehicle part, to automatically ensure a desired displacement of the hose line between its end positions, the hose line has a flexible length region whose two ends are adjoined in each case by a stiffer length region of the hose line, in order to control an envisaged yielding folding.

  • Patent number: 6511095
Abstract: A rollover protection system for motor vehicles, especially for convertibles, is described, with a head restraint assigned to a vehicle seat and a rollover member displaceable by an at least approximately translational movement from a lowered inoperative position upwards into a support position, the head restraint being intended to have a recess open at the bottom. The rollover member, at least in a position of non-use and in the event of overturning, is accommodated with its upper section in the recess of the head restraint.

  • Patent number: 6186577
Abstract: A convertible is provided with a roof construction which has at least one roof part and a rear window part. The construction can be at least partially deposited in a trunk space in an opening position in the rear area of the vehicle under a rear opening hood. To provide an opening which exposes the trunk space toward the rear, the rear opening hood is laterally linked, in each case by a guiding linkage, along a first forward swivelling axis to a lateral auxiliary frame. Two lateral auxiliary frames are supported on the vehicle body side in the lower rear area of the vehicle behind the first swivelling axis, in each case, by an additional control arm which, by way of a point of rotation, is connected with the pertaining auxiliary frame. At least one of the two auxiliary frames can be connected by way of a releasable locking element with the motor vehicle body. In the rear area, the rear opening hood is connected by a second rearward swivelling axis with the vehicle body for depositing the roof construction.

  • Patent number: 5984527
Abstract: An oblong hole guide is provided between two structural component parts of which the first, guiding structural component part has an oblong hole in which a guide bushing can glide in an adjustable manner transverse to its longitudinal axis, and which is fastened to the second, guided structural component part with the help of a bolt that penetrates it longitudinally. The bolt is anchored in the thread bore which is inserted into the guided structural component part. The hole guide is designed in such a manner that an easy adjustment is guaranteed without a bending out of line between the structural component parts, even in case of greater angular tolerances among the corresponding elements, by having the bolt penetrate the guide bushing with radial play, the thread bore is groove and an axial end of the guide bushing, which is supported by the guided structural component part, is externally chamfered and penetrates the groove area of the thread bore.

  • Patent number: 5938271
Abstract: A folding roof arrangement for a motor vehicle is provided with a folding cover whose forward end is fastened to a transversely extending roof cap which can be locked by way of locking members on the motor vehicle body when the roof is closed. The folding roof arrangement is provided with lateral folding top frames with which the roof cap is displaceably connected. The locking members have closing members which are arranged on the roof cap and which are applied to tensioning elements arranged on the motor vehicle body. The locking members displace the roof cap in the x-direction toward the front relative to the folding top frames for end position locking.
