  • Publication number: 20070103760
Abstract: An optical image reading device that has an adjustable amplification rate and a method for adjusting the same. The optical image reading device includes a transparent object being disposed within the object distance or the image distance. Since the refractive index of the transparent object is larger than that of the air, the compensation and shrinkage of the object or image distances can be achieved accurately without changing the position of the lens and the electro-optical sensor. The amplification rate of the optical image reading device is thus accurately adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20060228834
Abstract: A method of fabricating a CCDM scan module applied for image scan. A circuit board on which electronic devices are mounted is provided. A photo-detector and an integrated circuit device which is either packaged or unpackaged are also mounted on the circuit board to form an image sensor board. The electric connection between the photo-detector, the IC devices and the circuit board is established by wire-bonding technique. A module base is provided, and at least one reflection mirror and one transmission lens are mounted on the module base at predetermined positions. The image sensor board is then mounted on the module base at a position aligned with the lens for focusing an image.

  • Publication number: 20060209365
Abstract: A contact image scanning module having multiple light sources. The contact image scanning module employs two light source groups of different properties and a switching control circuit that controls the two light sources to provide different scanning speeds when scanning different objects. The light sources shine light on the object to be scanned and generate a reflected image. At least a lens element is used for receiving the reflected image and for generating a focused image. At least an optical sensor is employed for receiving the focused image and for converting the optical signals into electronic signals. The printed circuit board is installed on the housing. The contact image scanning module is installed in the housing to form a contact image scanner.

  • Publication number: 20050162759
Abstract: A flat type light condensing device used in an optical path device includes a hollow frame whose two ends have rectangular openings and a plurality of lenses arranged in the frame. The flat type light condensing lens is used in a scanner to reduce the occupied space in an optical path device and also facilitate the design. Moreover, only data of a single line are captured to reduce unwanted intermixing of data from other lines for enhancing the MTF of the scanner and further letting the brightness be more uniform when imaging.

  • Publication number: 20020117610
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical path structure of a double-sided document scanner, which comprises a first light source, a second light source, a first reflecting mirror set, a second reflecting mirror set, a lens, and a photo-sensor. The first and second light sources have a document conveyance path formed between them. The first reflecting mirror set reflects light reflected from a front face of a document toward a proper direction. The second reflecting mirror reflects light reflected from a back face of the document toward a proper direction. Lights generated by the first and second light sources can be respectively projected onto the front and back faces of the document. Lights reflected from the front and back faces of the document are respectively reflected by the first and second reflecting mirror sets and then enter the lens to be focused onto the photo-sensor.

Abstract: A change gear transmission device for a scanner comprises a motor, a first gear, a second gear and a third gear. The second gear and the third gear are movably arranged within the scanner and can be moved in axial direction. The first gear is coaxially connected with the motor. The second gear and the third gear are arranged on one end of the driving shaft of the scanner and have different tooth number. The first gear is optionally engaged with the second gear or the third gear by the movement of the second gear and the third gear. In a preferred embodiment of the device, the second gear is a spur gear and the third gear is an indent gear (ring gear). Therefore, the inventive change gear transmission device can provide both high speed and high accuracy ability to the scanner with low/high resolution.
