  • Publication number: 20220074437
Abstract: A hydraulic power pack for use in a hydraulic system includes a reservoir configured to receive hydraulic fluid. A pump is in communication with the reservoir and is fluidly connectable to the hydraulic system. The pump is configured to pump hydraulic fluid from the reservoir into the hydraulic system when connected thereto. A hydraulic fluid sensor is fluidly connectable to the hydraulic system to sense a fluid characteristic of the hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic system. A variable speed drive is operatively coupled to the pump and the hydraulic fluid sensor to receive sensor data therefrom, with the variable speed drive being configured to generate a pump control signal based on the received sensor data. The pump is configured to operate at various speeds based on the pump control signal received from the variable speed drive.

  • Patent number: 6233991
Abstract: An improved apparatus and method are provided for spin-forming tapered rollers, including but not limited to conveyor rollers, drum pulleys, web feed rollers and the like, from a tube without using any internal or external supports between the ends of the tube. The apparatus includes first and second clamp assemblies which support opposite ends of the tube. A rotation structure rotates the tube as a plurality of rollers engage the outer surface thereof. The rollers move between the clamp assemblies to alter the outer diameter of the tube during travel. A controller controls the urging of the rollers against the tube and controls the movement of the rollers between the clamp assemblies.

  • Patent number: 6118125
Abstract: A method and apparatus for radiography, and especially for planar beam radiography, and also a detector for detecting incident radiation. In the method and the apparatus, wherein X-rays are emitted from an X-ray source, the X-rays are formed into a planar beam and are transmitted through an object to be imaged, and the X-rays transmitted through said object are detected in a detector. The detector, which detects incident radiation is a gaseous parallel plate avalanche chamber, including electrode arrangements between which a voltage is applied for creating an electrical field, which causes electron-ion avalanches of primary and secondary ionization electrons released by incident radiation. The detector is oriented, in relation to the incident radiation, so that the radiation enters sideways between a first and a second parallel plate, between which the electrical field is created.
