  • Patent number: 11946468
Abstract: Idling a hydraulic machine includes electronically controlled high and low-pressure valves, a control system arranged to control opening and closing of said valves, a first idle safety valve arrangement arranged between the first working chamber and a fluid sink with a pressure equal to or lower than the high pressure, operating the hydraulic machine in an empty cylinder idle mode, wherein the high and low-pressure valves are concurrently closed for at least a whole cycle of the varying volume, and releasing hydraulic fluid to the fluid sink only when fluid pressure in the working chamber increases above a set threshold and the empty cylinder mode is enabled, enabling the first idle safety valve arrangement when the hydraulic machine operates in the empty cylinder idle mode, and disabling when not.

  • Patent number: 9593669
Abstract: A hydraulic transmission for a wind turbine that includes a rotor, one or more blades mounted to the rotor, a hydraulic pump mechanically connected to the rotor, and a hydraulic motor. The hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor are connected to one another by a high pressure circuit. The hydraulic pump maybe a variable displacement hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor may include a variable displacement hydraulic motor. The wind turbine, including the rotor, the blades of the rotor, the hydraulic pump, and the hydraulic motor may be controlled according to different approaches.

  • Patent number: 8202058
Abstract: A variable displacement axial piston machine. The variable displacement axial piston machine includes a cylinder block with at least one main cylinder and main piston, a swash plate, a plunger arrangement with a plunger and auxiliary cylinder, and a sensor. The swash plate is arranged to effect movement of the main piston in the main cylinder upon rotation of the swash plate relative to the cylinder arrangement. The plunger is arranged to tilt the swash plate relative to the cylinder arrangement and to control a stroke of the main cylinder in the main piston. To provide a simple and reliable measurement of displacement of the main piston in the main cylinder, the invention provides a sensor element which is fixed in the auxiliary cylinder and which is adapted to sense movement of the plunger therein.

  • Patent number: 6749037
Abstract: A vehicle driving arrangement with at least two axes, each having at least one driven wheel that can be acted upon with a torque of a motor, the motor/motors of each axis being arranged in a supply line, the supply lines being parallel to each other and connected with a pump device, and a valve arrangement being arranged in at least one supply line. It is desired to improve the operability of a hydraulically driven vehicle. For this purpose, the valve arrangement in one supply line has a pressure reducing valve that limits the pressure difference over the other supply line to a maximum value.
