Abstract: The device comprises at least one safety screen (3) linked to a fixed structure (10) of a printer (40) through first guide elements (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) installed in said fixed structure (10) and complementary second guide elements (3a, 3b) installed in the screen (3) for allowing a linear movement of the screen (3) between a safe position, wherein the screen (3) prevents the access to a hazardous area of the printer (40), and a withdrawn position, wherein the screen (3) is withdrawn from said hazardous area, and an electronic safety device (4a, 4b) in connection with an electronic safety module configured for deactivating or stopping the movement of any element of the printer (40) in the hazardous area if the screen (3) is not in said safe position.
