  • Publication number: 20120101883
Abstract: A method of advertizing using a device called Personal Companion. The Personal Companion is a specially designed device or existing Smart Phone linked to cloud based servers via Communication Careers. The device and other enabling gadgets and services are distributed free of charge to members of the public in return for a continuous, uninterruptible flow of consented advertisements. Watching these adverts will typically result in compensation accruing to the user. Users may, however, opt to stop flow of ad, but may forfeit that compensation. The ad server distributes marketing data to the device based on it's physical location, amongst other factors. Preferably, the geographical coordinates of the navigation device are fed to the ad server, which then returns advertisements from businesses operating within those coordinates. The navigation device receives and outputs navigational or entertainment information, in conjunction with marketing data.

  • Publication number: 20080209773
Abstract: A clothes iron comprises a body (2) and a sole plate (3). The body (2) is supported on the sole plate (3) by means of laterally resilient springs (4). The springs permit sideways movement of the sole plate (3) relative to the body (2). A motor (8) has a shaft (9) that carries an eccentric portion (10) which is received within a socket provided in the upper face of the sole plate. Thus, operation of the motor will cause the sole plate to execute orbital oscillatory motion relative to the body, in the plane of the face of the sole plate.

  • Patent number: 5055000
Abstract: An enclosed pump motor includes an aluminum housing made by an impact extrusion process. The housing is cylindrical having an integrally-formed closed end with integral fastener bosses for attaching a pump thereto and an integrally-formed thickened cylindrical portion defining a shaft bore for receiving the motor shaft therethrough. At the other end, the cylindrical housing is open for receiving the motor therein. A motor cover is attached to the motor receiving end of the housing by crimping or bending a part of the housing into indents formed in the housing. The motor cover includes a threaded bore adapted to receive a threaded grommet wherein three connector pins are imbedded. The connector pins are connected to electrical power carrying conductors and/or switch conductors leading to a fluid level sensor switch. The conductor-to-pin connections are imbedded within the grommet and are hermetically sealed therein.

  • Patent number: 4827603
Abstract: A float switch assembly for selectively energizing and deenergizing a fluid pump or other electronic equipment responsive to the rise and fall of a fluid level within a reservoir and a method of manufacturing or assembling the float switch assembly. The assembly includes a hollow tube having an open end wherein a mercury tilt switch is fixed. A plurality of conductors covered with a non-conductive material extend within the tube open end and are connected to the switch so that a current path may be provided between the conductors responsive to the angle of the switch. Ridges are provided on the outer surface of the tube near the open end and, a float bulb is provided substantially surrounding the tube below the ridges and sealingly connected upon the ridges. A potting epoxy compound surrounds the switch and the conductors within the tube so that electrical contact with a fluid through the open end is prevented. A cap is placed on the tube open end and is locked into place.

  • Patent number: 4575597
Abstract: A position responsive switch apparatus comprising a housing and a mounting assembly secured within the housing. The mounting assembly includes a pair of oppositely disposed spaced-apart walls. Each of the walls has an aperture contained therein which are in general axial alignment. An elongate switch extends through the apertures and is transversely supported by the mounting assembly so that the switch may move in a generally longitudinally axial direction within the confines of the mounting assembly. The switch may be in one of two preselectd conditions. The switch moves from one condition to the other condition in response to an opposing directional displacement of the switch. A retaining element is carried on the switch intermediate of the apertures. The retaining element is of a greater dimension than the apertures so that the walls moveably retain the switch within the mounting assembly.
