  • Patent number: 10844654
Abstract: An assembly for a door or window frame including an elongated sill and a corner key attached to each end of the sill, where the corner keys each support a bottom end of a jamb. Each corner key includes a jamb-facing surface, a drain surface, and a sill-facing surface, the sill-facing surface extending between the jamb-facing surface and the drain surface. The corner key includes a chamber for collecting water therein and a drain port having an opening formed along the drain surface of the corner key, the drain port being in communication with the chamber for directing the water from the chamber out of the corner key.

  • Patent number: 10464176
Abstract: A tool is provided for removal and installation of a fire tube that extends into an opening in a wall of a heating vessel. The fire tube locates within an interior of the heating vessel when mounted thereto. The fire tube has a tube wall that defines a tube interior and has a mounting end for mounting the fire tube to the wall of the heating vessel. The tool has an elongated main shaft member having an insertion end and an opposite control end. A first support is mounted upon the insertion end that is configured for being closely received within the tube interior. A second support is mounted along the length of the main shaft member, the second support having a fire tube interface configured for engaging and releasably coupling to the mounting end of the fire tube. A lift coupling couples to the main shaft and locates between the second support and the control end of the main shaft member for coupling to a lift line.

  • Patent number: 8363201
Abstract: A flexible, transparent electrode structure and a method of fabrication thereof are provided comprising a transparent electrode which may maintain electrical connectivity across a surface of a flexible substrate so that the substrate may flex without affecting the integrity of an electrical contact. The transparent electrode includes conductive nanowires that are coupled to the substrate through a conducting oxide layer. The conducting oxide layer effectively provides a template onto which the nanowires are deposited and serves to anchor the nanowires to the substrate surface.

  • Publication number: 20030015650
Abstract: A light collecting and focusing device for an ultrasonic digitizer has a conical tip and an infrared transparent polycarbonate light pipe. Infrared signals received by the conical tip are optically coupled to the photodiode through the light pipe. This device allows the use of a single photo diode mounted on the digitizer for receiving infrared signals from emitters that are not in the direct line of sight with the photodiode. Furthermore, optical coupling between the source of the infrared signals and the photodiode is maintained regardless of the orientation of the digitizer about its access.

  • Publication number: 20020135395
Abstract: A system for testing a display device is disclosed. A base has a surface with at least four holes in it. The display device has two layers and a surface. The first layer is a semiconductor substrate. The second layer is a transparent material. The surface of the display device is coupled to the surface of the base at each of the at least four apertures. The holes are positioned relative to the display device such that gravitational forces on the display device are optimally counterbalanced.

  • Publication number: 20020067184
Abstract: A test method and apparatus for liquid crystal display (LCD) devices, and in particular LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon) display devices, to achieve a pass/fail determination based upon user-defined tolerances of the LCD devices. The test apparatus side-illuminates the LCD device to provide reliable pixel defect detection and uniformity measurement. The test method is adaptable for LCD devices that have light emitting devices (LEDs) integrated into the LCD or separated from the LCD. The side-illumination provides a gradient of brightness that is further discernable into red, green, and blue colors. A monochromatic image can be driven by the LEDs using one of two drive schemes. The first drive scheme illuminates a single color according to a monochrome test mode. The second drive scheme drive a white image with a single LED illuminated such that a monochromatic image results. A module can reorder the testing according to the rate of failures for each test.
