  • Patent number: 11995239
Abstract: A display unit comprising a touch surface touchable by a user, a drive unit for moving the touch surface when the touch surface is touched, in particular for haptic feedback to the user, and at least one damping element, which damps mechanical oscillations of the movement of the touch surface. Each damping element comprises an elastic element and a pressure setting element (for example, a valve). This pressure setting element is designed to fill the elastic element in a variable or settable manner with gas for the damping. The damping properties of the display unit can thus be set arbitrarily via the gas pressure inside the elastic element.

  • Publication number: 20240134476
Abstract: A sensor unit including a housing and a contact element movably mounted along a first axis and configured to come into contact with a touch display surface. The contact element is moved along the first axis when coming into contact with the touch display surface. An acceleration sensor is movably mounted in the housing at least along the first axis. A biasing element is located on one side of the acceleration sensor and configured to bias the acceleration sensor in one of two directions along the first axis. The contact element is movably mounted on the other side of the acceleration sensor opposite the biasing element and is coupled to the acceleration sensor to move the acceleration sensor against the bias of the biasing element in the other of the two directions along the first axis when contacting the touch display surface.

  • Publication number: 20200079031
Abstract: Systems and methods transfer diecuts from a liner layer to a surface. One method may transfer a diecut from the liner layer to the surface by means of an applicator, wherein a ratio of the pull-off force of the diecut from the liner layer in the z direction to the pull-off force of the diecut from the surface in the z direction is at most 0.18. The method may enable particularly reliable and firm transfer of the diecut from a diecut tape to a surface where bonding is to take place. As a result, it may be possible for the frequency of errors in the bonding of plastics parts to be relevantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 10549639
Abstract: A control element for a motor vehicle provides a palpable response when touched. The control element includes a sensor, a touch-sensitive surface, which when touched causes the sensor to respond. An inert surface surrounds the touch-sensitive surface, which when touched does not cause the sensor to respond. An actuator is disposed between the touch sensitive surface and the inert surface and includes two components that can move relative to each other. One component is connected with the touch-sensitive surface, and the other component is connected with the inert surface. The actuator drives a motion of the touch-sensitive surface relative to the inert surface once a contact has been acquired.
