  • Publication number: 20220224998
Abstract: A method of controlling transmission of an upstream packet traffic from a plurality of Optical Network Units to an Optical Line Terminal in a Passive Optical Network based fronthaul network. The Optical Network Units transmit packets in a time division multiplexed access scheme to the Optical Line Terminal and the method comprises obtaining mobile upstream scheduling information, scheduling the packet traffic from the plurality of Optical Network Units based on delay constraints of the PON-based front haul network and the obtained mobile upstream scheduling information. The method also comprises transmitting the scheduling of the packet traffic to the plurality of ONUs.

  • Patent number: 10763982
Abstract: A method (200) of over-the-air testing of a transmission equipment (20). The method comprises transmitting (202) a transmission signal from the transmission equipment. The transmission signal as transmitted comprises emissions in an in-band domain (102) and emissions in an unwanted domain (110). The method comprises arranging a frequency selective surface (40) to receive the transmission signal. The frequency selective surface (40) attenuates the transmission signal in the in-band domain (102) of the transmission signal. The frequency selective surface (40) allows propagation of the transmission signal in the unwanted domain (110) of the transmission signal. The method further comprises measuring (206) in a measuring equipment (25) a parameter of the transmission signal in the unwanted domain. The frequency selective surface (40) is arranged between the transmission equipment (20) and the measuring equipment (25).

  • Patent number: 8203480
Abstract: A method of detecting weather on an aircraft uses a weather radar system. The method adapts the weather radar system in accordance with a time-of-year parameter, a time-of-day parameter, and/or a location parameter to remove ground clutter reflectivity. The method includes determining the particular parameter and automatically adjusting the weather radar system to display the weather in response to the parameter. The system can be implemented in hardware and/or software and can advantageously predict and identify weather and/or weather hazards more precisely.

  • Patent number: 7808422
Abstract: A method of detecting weather on an aircraft uses a weather radar system. The method includes determining a location of a reflective radar target, accessing a database having stored information relating to ground clutter of a reflective radar target, retrieving weather radar information associated with the location, and automatically adjusting the weather radar return threshold in response to the information. The method can adjust a threshold for a weather radar display, adjust a weather radar signal gain, adjust a tilt angle of the weather radar, or adjust a ground clutter suppression threshold. The method can be implemented by hardware and/or software.

  • Patent number: 6038221
Abstract: A radio based access network type Digital European Cordless Telecommunication DECT in which powerful and simply-built up network components, such as repeaters are an integral part. The device makes possible a signaling which makes digital decoding and adding a special capacity to the system unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 5983104
Abstract: In telecommunication systems, for instance of the type DECT, there are mobile units which move within and between the cells of the system. The new device identifies mobile units which move with a predetermined speed and the identification is performed by means of fading measurements.

  • Patent number: 5943323
Abstract: For repeaters in a radio-based communication system, there is a function for identification and initiation of the respective repeater concerned. The said function can be effected without the need for digital decoding in the respective repeater concerned.

  • Patent number: 5873033
Abstract: A method and arrangement for transfer between a cordless telecommunication system, preferably DECT, and a cellular mobile telecommunication system, preferably GSM. The cordless telecommunication system includes of a number of cells within a relatively small area, while the mobile telecommunication system includes of a number of cells within a relatively larger area which completely or partly overlaps the area of the cordless system. The system comprises at least one portable terminal capable of communicating with both the cordless and cellular communication systems. Accordingly a transfer zone is fixed by the cordless system and the terminal is monitored with regard to it identity and position so that transfer parameters can be transmitted to the terminal when it is located in the transfer zone. The transfer is prepared by setting up a three-party connection between the terminal and the telecommunication system and between the terminal and the mobile telecommunication system.

  • Patent number: 5812948
Abstract: A telecommunications system operates with a personal telephony function and a respective user has the capability of controlling offered personal telecommunications services. In the system, the user is represented by a unique identity (UPTN), which is used for identification and authenticity check of the user. Access to the telecommunications services can be established from a DECT portable which is involved in identification, authenticity check and registration in the telephone system. Availability of the services offered thus becomes more user friendly and the services and the DECT system become more attractive to the end users.
