  • Publication number: 20240113902
Abstract: A distributed ledger-based system, method and apparatus for managing tasks. An authorization record proposal is validated by a localized blockchain authorization network against a validated schema published by, in some cases, a core blockchain network. Once validated, it is published on a localized channel for use by other nodes to validate actions of the task as the task is being performed. Data relating to completed tasks may be shared in accordance with sharing information in the validated authorization record and the data may be deleted upon the occurrence of a predetermined condition.

  • Publication number: 20230214370
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for processing observational data for training a neural network model for use by a neural network. Observational data is parsed into raw data and metadata components and then stored separately on a raw data storage system and a metadata storage system, respectively. A digital fingerprint may be generated and assigned to the raw data and the metadata, used to verify the integrity of the data. When it is desired to train a neural network model, a DETL query is generated and used to identify any raw data that may be relevant to training the neural network model. The DETL query is processed by the metadata storage system to match any metadata to search terms in the DETL which, in turn, identifies raw data stored in the raw data storage system. The identified raw data is used to train the neural network model, and a updated neural network model is produced.

  • Publication number: 20220417254
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for routing traffic in ad-hoc networks. A routing blockchain network processes routing node information proposals received from manager nodes of network clusters. Performance metrics, including content integrity metrics, of one or more nodes in the system are validated using distributed ledger techniques and provided to the manager nodes as updates to each manager node's routing information. The manager nodes further determine routing paths for ad-hoc communication requests based on an authentication record that defines conditions necessary to route traffic streams in association with a particular resource or destination, one of the conditions comprising a minimum content integrity metric. Data may be transmitted in data segments, each data segment associated with a particular original fingerprint. The data segments and associated fingerprints are provided to routing nodes and, ultimately, to a destination node.

  • Patent number: 11429958
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for resource access control. An authorization record is created when a requestor has been authorized to access a resource, the authorization record created from an authorization event template stored on an authorization blockchain network. The authorization resource comprises one or more conditions that must generally be true in order for the user to access the resource. The authorization record may additionally comprise one or more permissions for the user to manage the resource.

  • Patent number: 9105964
Abstract: A system is provided to establish and maintain a data path between a Local Area Network (LAN) that is mounted on a moving vehicle and a satellite. In combination, an antenna assembly, an Antenna Control Unit (ACU), an Inertial reference Unit (IRU), and a modem are mounted together on the moving vehicle, under the overall control of a services platform. Operationally, the IRU generates parametric values indicative of the spatial attitude and location of the moving vehicle. The ACU then uses the parametric values to aim the antenna in a direction toward the satellite. In this combination, the modem is connected with the antenna to transmit and receive data between the system and the satellite. Individually or collectively, operationally compatible components of the system (IRU, ACU, antenna and modem) can be appropriately substituted to thereby customize the system.

  • Publication number: 20150078178
Abstract: A software-based technology framework for supervising and supporting a combined wireless and satellite communications network requires a two-way communication capability that is operated by a network manager in a supervising system. In particular, this requires the monitoring of a communication network by the network manager, which receives operational information from operative components in the communications network that is pertinent to state/status, performance, and fault reporting aspects of the components. The operational information is then correlated and analyzed at the network manager to generate support information, which pertains to administration, configuration, provisioning and troubleshooting instructions for operative components of the communication network. The support information is then disseminated by the network manager to the appropriate operative component.

  • Publication number: 20140152770
Abstract: A system for detecting moving objects within a predetermined geographical area is provided. The system is designed to convey object movement information from an airborne surveillance platform to a ground-based operator station with reduced data transmission. This is accomplished by computer processing image data on the surveillance platform prior to transmitting data to the ground station. First, the system constructs a 3D model of the area under surveillance, for example, by obtaining many different views of the area using an aircraft. One 3D model is maintained at the surveillance platform, and another is transmitted to the ground station. During a surveillance mission, a succession of relatively low data, 2D images are created and aligned with the surveillance platform's 3D model. The alignment reveals differences in the images (tracking data) which is then transmitted to the ground station for use with the ground station's 3D model to resolve object movement information.

  • Publication number: 20140122977
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for allowing a user at the transmit end of a communication link to change a forward error correction scheme to select between relatively high spectral efficiency and relatively small error block processing delay. The system can include a modem having a plurality of encoding modules, at least one modulation module and a user input module. Pluralities of switches are provided to selectively route an input data-stream to one of the encoding modules. The switches are operationally coupled with the user input module allowing the user to route the input data-stream to a user-selected encoding module. At the user-selected encoding module, the input data-stream is processed to add an FEC redundancy and output FEC blocks having an FEC block size that is unique to the selected encoding module. In this way, the user selects the different encoding modules and the corresponding different FEC block sizes.

  • Publication number: 20140111390
Abstract: An on-board communication and navigation system for an aircraft is provided for allowing an aircraft to transmit and receive information via satellite link. Specifically, the system includes a radome assembly and a fuselage coupler. The radome assembly, for example, may include an antenna, an antenna control unit and an inertial reference unit. During installation, the fuselage coupler is securely and permanently mounted on the aircraft, typically on the fuselage at the top of the aircraft. Once the fuselage coupler is securely mounted, the radome assembly can be removably attached to the fuselage coupler, allowing the radome assembly to be quickly and easily removed and reattached to the aircraft, as needed.

  • Publication number: 20140089458
Abstract: A storage system for storing and retrieving data streams from a plurality of networked devices in real-time can include a plurality of solid-state memory devices (SSDs), a plurality of storage processors and an interface processor. Each storage processor is connected to the interface processor, and, once the storage system is configured, each storage processor is connected to one or more SSD's. The particular number of SSD's that are addressed by each storage processor depends on the storage system configuration and changes when the storage system is reconfigured. With the arrangement described above, the storage system is segmented into a plurality of individual drives with each individual drive including a storage processor and the individual SSDs that are connected to and addressed by the storage processor. To optimize storage speed and efficiency, the interface processor can then route the data streams from one or more networked devices to a particular individual drive.
