  • Publication number: 20230311834
Abstract: An improved electrohydraulic brake valve with overpressure protection is provided. The electrohydraulic brake valve includes an integrated pressure limiting device coupled to a modulating valve and a solenoid assembly. The pressure limiting device transmits an axial force from the solenoid plunger to the valve spool up to a set limit, which corresponds to a maximum output pressure. Above this set limit, a pre-loaded spring within the pressure limiting device compresses, thereby isolating further travel of the solenoid plunger from the valve spool. The pressure limiting device mechanically limits the output pressure of the electrohydraulic brake valve to a maximum level to prevent overpressure in the brake system, adding a level of safety not previously available.

  • Patent number: 7086201
Abstract: Frame for a door and/or window, particularly for a transport vehicle, comprising a seal support, and a seal which seals between at least part of a peripheral edge of the door and/or window and the seal support when the door and/or window is or are in the closed position, and which is in the form of an injection-molded element of elastic nature, characterized in that it further comprises an intermediate element which is equipped with the seal molded onto it and which has the first fixing means, and in that the seal support and second fixing means capable of collaborating with the said first fixing means to fix the intermediate element, equipped with the seal molded onto it, to the seal support.

  • Publication number: 20030168814
Abstract: Frame for a door and/or window (3), particularly for a transport vehicle, comprising a seal support (4), and a seal (10) which seals between at least part of a peripheral edge of the door and/or window (3) and the seal support (4) when the door and/or window is or are in the closed position, and which is in the form of an injection-moulded element of elastic nature, characterized in that it further comprises an intermediate element (30) which is equipped with the seal moulded onto it and which has first fixing means (31-34), and in that the seal support (4) and second fixing means (6, 7, 35, 36) capable of collaborating with the said first fixing means (31-34) to fix the intermediate element, equipped with the seal (10, 24) moulded onto it, to the seal support (4).

  • Patent number: 6082048
Abstract: A sealing, trimming and guiding strip for the window of a motor vehicle body defines a first or main opening (6) for a vertically slidable window glass and a second, subsidiary, opening (8) for a fixed window glass. The strip (5) is of partially moulded and partially extruded construction. Over the region (ABC) extending around part of the main window opening (6), only the face of the strip facing outwardly of the vehicle is moulded. The inside face of the seal over this region is formed by extruded portions which are either attached to the moulded part or are held in juxtaposition with the moulded part by means of a rigid mounting channel forming part of the window frame. The cross piece (9) and the whole of the strip extending around the remainder of the subsidiary window opening (8) are entirely of moulded construction, and integrally moulded with the moulded part of the strip extending around the main window opening (6).

  • Patent number: 5839232
Abstract: A sealing or guiding assembly for sealing or guiding the corner of a movable window glass, such as for the window in a motor vehicle door, comprises two lengths of sealing or guiding strips connected together at a corner. The corner is bridged across by a flexible flap which is produced by an in-situ moulding operation. The moulding operation is carried out so that the flap is connected to each sealing strip only over a small area. The flap is therefore otherwise spaced from each sealing strip by a gap which, during the moulding operation, is occupied by a plate defining part of the mould cavity. This plate and the gap protect an adjacent flocked area of a lip from damage by the heat of the moulding operation. The flap defines a shallow groove or ridge matching a ridge or groove either on the sealing strip or on a rigid support to which the strip and flap are to be attached.

  • Patent number: 5699603
Abstract: A method of making a sealing or guiding assembly for sealing or guiding a corner of a movable window glass, such as for the window in a motor vehicle door. The assembly comprises two lengths of sealing or guiding strip which are connected together to form a corner matching the corner of the window glass. The corner between the two lengths of strip is bridged across by a flexible flap which is produced by an in-situ molding operation forming part of the method. The two lengths of strip are placed into the mould which has a cavity matching the shape of the flexible flap but which is arranged so that the flap is connected to each sealing strip only over a small part of the total area of the sealing strip which is overlapped by the flap. The flap is therefore otherwise spaced from each sealing strip by a gap which, during the molding operation, is occupied by a plate which defines part of the mold cavity for forming the flap.

  • Patent number: 5219382
Abstract: A sealing and guiding strip, for a motor vehicle door having a slidable window pane, comprises a length of rubber and a rigid metal support. The sealing strip extends around the sides and top of the frame of the window and down into the hollow lower part of the door. It is produced by a molding operation, the rigid metal support being placed in the mold and thus becoming bonded to the rubber during the molding operation and the subsequent vulcanization. The metal support ensures that the finished sealing strip is rigidly held in the correct shape and configuration and it is thus easily handled, packed, delivered and fitted to the vehicle, the latter process being aided by clips or fixtures which are attached to the support when it is placed in the mold. The rubber defines a glass-receiving channel, and lips and for providing a seal against the adjacent part of the vehicle body.
