  • Publication number: 20090305793
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary homokinetic joint (1) which comprises an outer joint part (2) having an outer surface (3) and an inner surface (4), said outer joint part (2) comprising at least three guide tracks (6), evenly distributed across the periphery of the inner surface (4) and extending in the axial direction, an inner joint part (8) comprising at least three pivots (10), evenly distributed across the periphery and extending in the radial direction, and antifriction bearings (12), arranged between the outer joint part (2) and the inner joint part (8) and borne on the pivots (10). Every antifriction bearing (12) comprises antifriction bearing outer surfaces (14) which are adapted to the guide tracks (6) of the outer joint part (2) for the purpose of linear displacement of the inner joint part (14) in the axial direction. Said guide tracks (6) comprise two opposite lateral guide surfaces (16) each for guiding the antifriction bearing (12) in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 7083522
Abstract: The present invention discloses a synchronizing revolute joint with an external joint member, an internal joint member and rolling bearings arranged between the external joint member and the internal joint member. Each rolling bearing includes an inner race with a rolling bearing inner surface and an outer race with a rolling bearing outer surface. Between the inner race and the outer race there is arranged a plurality of rollers enabling the outer race to roll on the inner race. One of the inner race and the outer race includes an axial guide that determines the position of the rollers in relation to that race in the axial direction. The inner race and outer race are also axially displaceable against each other.

  • Patent number: 7008325
Abstract: A constant velocity (CV) joint and, more particularly, a retaining ring for a CV joint and a method of assembling a retaining ring on a CV joint. The tripod constant velocity joint may be assembled by placing a retaining ring in alignment with a trunnion head, applying a force to the aligned retaining ring to expand the diameter of said retaining ring so that a fracture area on the retaining ring fractures. After the fracture area fractures, the retaining ring is displaced into a retaining groove on the trunnion. The retaining ring includes an outer surface, an inner surface, a first notch extending from one of the inner and outer surfaces to the other of the inner and outer surfaces, and a fracture area extending from the first notch to the other of the inner and outer surfaces.
