  • Patent number: 5322738
Abstract: The clay tile proposed consists of a clay-bound core layer (20) with, on each side of it, a surface layer (22,24) of netlike tear-resistant textile material which is at least partially embedded in the clay of the core layer (20).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 25, 1992
Date of Patent: June 21, 1994
    Inventor: Peter Breidenbach
  • Patent number: 4929724
Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for the production of uretdione group-containing compounds by dimerizing at least a part of the isocyanate groups of organic isocyanates in the presence of compounds containing phosphorus-nitrogen bonds as dimerization catalysts, characterized in that the reaction is carried out in the presence, as co-catalysts, of H-active organic compounds having a pKa-value of at least 6, which have at least one hydrogen atom bound to oxygen, sulphur or nitrogen. The invention also relates to the uretdione group-containing compounds obtained according to this process and to their use for the production of plastics materials according to the isocyanate-polyaddition process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 3, 1985
Date of Patent: May 29, 1990

  • Patent number: 4518729
Abstract: The present invention relates to solutions of isocyanato-isocyanurates based on mixtures of (i) 2,4- and/or 2,6-diisocyanato-toluene and (ii) 2,2'-, 2,4'- and/or 4,4'-diisocyanato-diphenyl methane in a molar ratio of (i) to (ii) of about 5:1 to 1:3, in plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride wherein the isocyanato-isocyanurates comprise about 1 to 50% by weight of the solution. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing these solutions which comprise partially trimerizing the isocyanate groups of the above diisocyanates using catalysts which accelerate the trimerization of isocyanate groups, the reaction either being conducted in the presence of plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride or the reaction product being dissolved in a plasticizer of this type, optionally after the separation of excess, unreacted diisocyanate. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of these solutions as adhesion-improving additives for coating compositions based on polyvinyl chloride.

  • Patent number: 4419513
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel isocyanato-isocyanurates by the catalytic and 1-isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethyl-cyclohexane in a mole ratio of about 1:4 to 4:1, and to the products produced therefrom. The present invention also relates to the use of these products, optionally in blocked form, as the isocyanate component in polyurethane lacquers.
