Abstract: Methods and apparatus for exercising muscles are disclosed, including a system that enables a person to perform an exercise that directly targets the biceps and minimizes activation of the forearm muscles. Embodiments of the invention also afford a user with the ability to utilize a single dumbbell in conjunction with a platform of the invention to target both biceps simultaneously. An exercise band may also be attached to a platform of the invention while performing an exercise which may then be performed with or without an inserted dumbbell. Additionally, embodiments of the invention enable a user to utilize an attachment mechanism in conjunction with a platform of the invention to utilize kettlebells, cable machines, resistance/exercise bands or other structures to provide a means of resistance while performing an exercise using the invention.

Abstract: System and methods are disclosed for emergency management during threatening events such as gunfire incidents. In some exemplary implementations, systems and methods may provide information to computer-based and mobile-device user interfaces, enabling various features and capabilities such as notifying site-based subscribers and public safety personnel that an emergency has occurred at a specific location. Implementations may also provide users with real-time information that can utilized by on-site personnel and responding public safety personnel to mitigate the emergency. Further, aspects may include configurations and/or capabilities that integrate with external technology platforms such as computer aided dispatch systems, surveillance camera systems, and security systems such as those having electronic lock control.

Abstract: This disclosure pertains to an alert notification and messaging system, and in particular (but not exclusively), to techniques for generating and distributing alerts related to real-time safety and emergency incidents, having speech data contained therein, on a network of mobile devices according to proximity and subscriber rules. Systems and methods consistent with the present disclosure may also include detecting keywords spoken by a user of a mobile device during a phone call with emergency personnel. Once the phone call to emergency personnel is made, an alert is generated by the mobile device. In one or more implementations, the generated alert includes any keywords uttered during the call. The alert is transmitted to an alert server which generates and transmits an alert notification related to the incident to a network of mobile devices according to proximity and subscriber rules.

In one exemplary implementation, a weapon fire location system is used to characterize and locate impulsive events and these locations are correlated with the positions of monitoring persons or devices, such as monitoring anklets placed on offenders or other persons of interest. Further, various information can be plotted on map, display, or for other graphical output to assist in the process of handling a weapon fire event. For example, when a monitoring device, whose position can be provided by GPS or alternate methods is found nearby a gunshot location, then associated graphical information can be presented on the output of the weapon fire location system or an associated display used by those monitoring the offenders.

The system may comprise a central console operatively connected and configured to receive information from, a plurality of elements for monitoring a venue. The plurality of elements may comprise monitoring equipment providing real-time audio or video information regarding the venue; at least one personnel device carried by selected personnel at the venue, the device is configured to communicate information regarding the venue, including information regarding an incident, to the central console; a data processing unit comprising a processor and database(s), wherein the database(s) comprise information regarding the venue, including predetermined response plans and information regarding incidents and responses at prior events at the venue the processor is configured to analyze the information regarding the venue and provide an output to the central console; and a dispatch unit configured to communicate with third-party personnel.
