  • Patent number: 10482161
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention enable the generation and display of active reports. Applications of the present invention include its use in embodiments of a web-based product for managing an Information Technology (IT) infrastructure although the present invention is not limited to such applications. In embodiments, an active report is an active report file comprising report data and a user interface (UI) reference to a network location of code that defines an interactive UI comprising graphical user interface (GUI) components to be rendered when displaying the report data. In embodiments, the interactive UI is defined by UI code (such as an Adobe Flash Small Web Format (SWF) file) that also defines the UI of a rich internet application (RIA). • Patent number: 7904538
Abstract: A performance manager and method for managing the performance of a computer system based on a system model that includes measured entities representing the operational characteristics of the system components and relationships among the measured entities. The performance manager includes data producers for interacting with the interface agents of the components, an engine for exchanging information with the data producers and the system model, and an interaction model for determining relevant measured entities in the system model. The system model and interaction model are maintained in a repository where data might be accessed via an access interface. Incoming performance data is analyzed by an analyzer in the background to detect trends and relationships among the entities. An operator might review the relevant entities and apply controls to selected entities to manage the overall system performance as well as to resolve problems affecting the performance of the components in the system.

  • Publication number: 20050200214
Abstract: An interconnecting assembly (100) for a rotor assembly of a dynamoelectric machine is provided. The interconnecting assembly may be part of an electrically conductive path generally extending from a radially inward section of the rotor assembly to a top winding of a stacked winding (128) located at a radially outward section of the rotor assembly. The interconnecting assembly may include a first connecting member (106) connected to a radial lead (104) at the inward section of the rotor assembly. This first connecting member is made up of multiple conductive leaves and includes a flexible bend (108) positioned to provide a resilient-connection relative to at least a radial direction. The interconnecting assembly may further include a second connecting member (124) mechanically connected to the first connecting member by way of the resilient connection. This second connecting member is electrically connected to the first connecting member and to the top winding.

  • Publication number: 20050193821
Abstract: Apparatus and method for applying torsional vibration to a rotating machine is provided. In one exemplary embodiment the apparatus includes a permanent magnet machine (12) connected to the rotating machine (22) and configured to generate a three-phase AC output voltage. A converter (36) may be coupled to receive the three-phase AC output voltage from the permanent magnet machine and to supply a DC output voltage. An oscillator (42) is connected to the converter to provide an oscillation signal for modulating the DC output voltage from the converter. The modulating voltage induces an oscillatory torque in the permanent magnet machine (12) that causes torsional vibration in the rotating machine. Various components of the apparatus for applying torsional vibration may be part of a field-deployed power generating system.
