  • Patent number: 10622017
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention is directed to dynamically generating video data. Video data is dynamically generated on an end-user device while an existing video is being played at a speed slower than a playback speed on the end-user device. The video data is a continuous recording of a field of view of a camera when the end-user device is in a first orientation that is converted to the playback speed of the existing video for viewing. The field of view includes a user(s) who will be mimicking movements of a performer(s) in the existing video that is being played on the end-user device. When the end-user device is in a second orientation, the existing video is played at the play back speed and side-by-side with the video data. The first and second orientations of the end-user device can be, for example, a vertical orientation and a horizontal orientation, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6095690
Abstract: Plain bearing elements comprise at least one single-layer metallic bearing material (4) having a sliding surface (6) with lubricating oil pockets (10). The depth (T) of the open oil pockets (10) is 0.03 mm to 0.3 mm, and the ratio of the pocket area to the pocket depth is 10 to 40 mm. The plain bearing elements exhibit superior running qualities and properties. The depth of the oil pockets (10) may be adapted to the service viscosity of the lubricating oil. The oil pockets (10) in the same plain bearing element may also have varying depths (T) and be provided only in predetermined regions of the plain bearing element.

  • Patent number: 5433928
Abstract: In the absorption of acetylene from a crude gas mixture containing mostly C.sub.2 hydrocarbons, a substantially acetylene-free liquid C.sub.2 stream is introduced into a mixing chamber located in the column between the feed points for the crude gas mixture and the absorption agent. The C.sub.2 stream is distributed into fine droplets as it enters into accumulated absorption agent in the mixing chamber, so that foam is not formed in the absorption column. The mixing chamber can be formed of a mixing tank integrated with a plate.

  • Patent number: 5336839
Abstract: In the absorption of acetylene from a crude gas mixture containing mostly C.sub.2 hydrocarbons by scrubbing with an absorbing agent, an externally produced mixture of about 10-70% by weight acetylene-free C.sub.2 hydrocarbons and about 30-90% by weight absorption agent is introduced in the absorption column, in order to prevent the formation of foam. The mixture is produced in a static mixer outside the absorption column, and is supplied from outside the column to a mixing tank installed between two plates within the column.

  • Patent number: 4842629
Abstract: An improvement for a method of producing buried regions of raised refractive index in a glass member by ion exchange characterized by removing a titanium mask from the glass member after a first ion exchange to raise the refractive index of exposed portions of the glass member with an EDTA disodium etching solution followed by a slight material erosion of the glass after removal of the titanium mask prior to an implementation of a second field-assisted ion exchange.

  • Patent number: 4836899
Abstract: An arrangement for mounting a glass member for a field-assisted ion exchange utilizing anodic and cathodic contacting by molten salts characterized by the glass member being arranged between two salt melt vessels containing the salts, each of the vessels having a contact opening surrounded by a sealing lip or surface for engaging a surface of the member as the member is interposed between the two openings and each of the vessels having an arrangement for evacuation of the vessels to form a seal between the sealing lip and the surface of the member. An embodiment of the invention includes a device for changing the level of the molten salts, either by dipping electrodes therein or by rotating the vessels so that the contact openings may be submerged in the molten salt or be above the liquid salt to allow a removing and changing of the glass members being processed.
