  • Patent number: 4958048
Abstract: A modular electrical wiring system comprising outlet boxes including laterally spaced positioning plates slidably receiving modular devices therebetween. Each modular device including a forwardly opening housing receiving slide-in busses in accord with the internal circuitry desired. A cooperating face block seals the forward end of the housing, providing appropriate access to or control of the internal circuitry defined by the internal busses. Power and distribution cables engage the internal circuitry through wire receiving compartments in the top wall of the module. The module includes side locking plates releasably engageable with the positioning plates of the outlet box for a retention of the positioned module.
