  • Patent number: 10624086
Abstract: A security network provides reduced power consumption and more robust communication of messages in comparison to conventional wireless systems. Reducing power consumption as discussed herein ensures that the security system is able to operate for a long duration of time, potentially with minimal or no power from an electrical grid. Additionally, redundant communication paths as discussed herein provide a more robust way of selectively forwarding security data to a remote server. The availability of multiple communication paths ensures that a respective remote target recipient such as a server resource or remote communication device operated by a user can be notified of a trigger event during power failure conditions, such as when certain communication functionality of a security system is disabled.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2017
Date of Patent: April 14, 2020
    Assignee: A9.COM, INC.

  • Patent number: 9984472
Abstract: An image processing system receives a sequence of frames including a current input frame and a next input frame (the next input frame is captured subsequent in time with respect to capturing of the current input frame). The image processing system stores a previously outputted output frame. The previously outputted output frame is derived from previously processed input frames in the sequence. The image processing modifies the current input frame based on detected first motion and second motion. The first motion is detected based on an analysis of the current input frame with respect to the next input frame. The second motion is detected based on an analysis of the current input frame with respect to the previously outputted output frame. According to one configuration, the image processing system implements multi-sized analyzer windows to more precisely detect the first motion and second motion.

  • Publication number: 20100088736
Abstract: According to example configurations herein, a downstream video processor operates in conjunction with an existing consumer-operated tuner system. The downstream video processor system can be an add-on system disposed in a communication link between the consumer-operated tuner system and a remote video playback device such as a hi-definition television. In lieu of processing video data locally in the set-top box, the consumer-operated tuner system can transmit the video data to the downstream video processor for processing. The downstream video processor in the communication link can be configured to provide enhanced video processing services (e.g., better resolution, higher frame rate rates, enhanced signal to noise ratio, enhanced color quality, 3-D graphics, etc.) with respect to video processing services supported by an upstream video decoder in the consumer-operated tuner system.

  • Patent number: 4393277
Abstract: A remote tuner control system for responding to command signals transmitted by a user on a full-duplex communication channel. The tuner control system comprises a tone decoder coupled to the communication channel for conversion of pushbutton telephone tones generated by a user to binary numeric data; a tuner for reception of local audio broadcast radio signals; a speech generator for generating audio speech command menus and command acknowledgements; an output selector assembly coupled to the tuner and to the speech generator adapted for selection of audio information returned to the user; and an input/output interface assembly coupled to the tuner and output selector assembly. The input/output interface assembly is adapted to control reception frequency of the tuner and output selection of the output selector assembly and is coupled to a processor, the speech generator and tone decoder.
