  • Patent number: 7510601
Abstract: Portable medical oxygen concentrator comprising an air separation system adapted to recover oxygen from air; a bottom platform and a shell having an outer wall, wherein the shell is detachably connected to the bottom platform, wherein the shell and bottom platform define an enclosed volume when the shell is connected to the bottom platform, and wherein the air separation system is disposed in the enclosed volume; and one or more rechargeable batteries detachably connected to the outer wall of the shell and adapted to provide power to drive the air separation system. The air separation system may comprises a pressure swing adsorption system having two or more adsorbent columns and a rotary valve for directing gas flow sequentially to, from, and among the columns. A base assembly attached to the bottom platform may be adapted to support the two or more adsorbent columns and the rotary valve.

  • Patent number: 6412738
Abstract: A stand for supporting a stenographic machine from a chair is provided. The stand includes a chair clamp releasably mountable to the seat portion of the chair. The chair clamp is adjustable along a longitudinal axis of the chair clamp. A support which has first and second ends is pivotally connected to the chair clamp at the first end. The support includes a first portion telescopically connected to a second portion. The second portion is rotatably connected to a third portion. A stabilizer which is adapted to engage a bottom of the seat portion extends from the first end of the support. An arm which is adapted to support an operator's forearm extends from the second end of the support. A connector which is adapted to releasably connect a stenographic machine to the stand is connected to the second end of the support.

  • Patent number: 5334354
Abstract: Utility clamp for use in a laboratory or other environment containing caustic elements. The clamp has a fully-enclosed hinge which is isolated from the environment. The critical hinge components such as the hinge pin and coil spring are internally located in the hinge and are protected from corrosion or attack by agents which might contact the clamp during normal use. A method is also provided for assembling the clamp whereby pre-loaded springs are positioned within the internal cavity to normally bias the jaws of the clamp in an open position relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 4856811
Abstract: A device for transporting ski equipment includes a frame adapted for collapsed and extended orientations and having an elongated direction in the extended orientation includes first and second frame members collapsably coupled together for providing the collapsed and extended orientations of the frame. A first bracket is provided on the first frame member extending transversely to an elongated direction of the frame in the extended orientation and is adapted for receiving ends of a pair of skis. A second bracket is provided on the second frame member extending transversely to the elongated direction and has an open side for receiving the pair of skis received in the first bracket. A latch is positionable across the open side of the second bracket for closing the bracket and securing the pair of skis received in both the first and second brackets to the frame. Wheels are provided at one end for rolling the device over a surface.

  • Patent number: 4636613
Abstract: A combination hair-dryer and garment ironing apparatus includes a housing having an air inlet and a pair of air outlets. A blower and electric heater in the housing create a flow of heated air through the housing. A permanent, non-removable iron assembly is provided on the housing and includes a sole plate disposed in the path of the heated air flow through the housing. The sole plate forms a portion of a wall of the housing and has an exposed generally flat ironing surface. A heated air diverter member within the housing is selectively movable between a first dryer position in which substantially all of the heated air flowing through the housing is diverted from contact with the sole plate and is exhausted through one of the outlets and a second iron position in which a substantial portion of the heated air flow is diverted into contact with at least a portion of the sole plate for impingement heating of the sole plate to an ironing temperature and is exhausted from the other air outlet.
