  • Publication number: 20240075089
Abstract: The present disclosure provides botanicals and/or biotin or analogs thereof, that proliferate or reduce stem cell populations and activate or attenuate Wat/?-Catenin signaling and thus treat or prevent diseases related to signal transduction. In particular, the disclosure provides Botanicals and Biotin or analogs thereof, that proliferate or reduce stem cell populations and activate or attenuate Wnt/?-Catenin signaling in tissues expressing Wnt1OB including, adipose, adrenal, artery, blood, bone marrow, brain, breast, cervix, colon, esophagus, heart, intestine, kidney, liver, lung, muscle, ovary, pituitary, prostate, skin, spleen, testis, thyroid, uterus and vagina. • Patent number: 6397430
Abstract: A hydraulic backcheck valve system for controlling an opening cycle of a door closer has a housing with an interior chamber, at least one cylinder, and a piston that can reciprocate between a door closing stroke and a door opening stroke within the cylinder. One side of the piston faces a variable volume chamber in the cylinder and an opposite side of the piston faces the interior chamber of the housing. The backcheck valve system has a fluid passage with a port in fluid communication with the cylinder and an opening in fluid communication with the interior chamber of the housing. The port is blocked by the piston during at least part of the door opening stroke. A one-way valve is disposed in fluid communication with the fluid passage and permits fluid to flow freely during a closing cycle of the door closer and prevents fluid flow from the second passage during the opening cycle. A backcheck valve is disposed in fluid communication with the passage and with the variable volume chamber.

  • Patent number: 5753596
Abstract: A novel method for inhibiting oxygen corrosion in an oil well, and an emulsion useful therein. The method comprises introducing into the well a pourable emulsion comprising about 50 to about 95 volume percent discontinuous aqueous phase, about 5 to about 50 volume percent continuous oil phase, and a corrosion inhibiting amount of a composition comprising a corrosion inhibitor selected from among thiophosphates containing both oxygen and sulfur, pyrophosphates containing both oxygen and sulfur and mixtures thereof.

  • Patent number: 5487206
Abstract: A door closing device comprises a piston (12) having at one end a seal (21) which seals the interface between the piston and a housing (10). The seal (21) also acts as a one-way valve and carries a pressure relief valve (37).

  • Patent number: 5337448
Abstract: A door closer has a cam and follower mechanism for transmitting movement between a spring and an operating member which is connected with a door. Guide elements for the cam follower can be adjusted relative to a housing to adjust the orientation relative to the housing to which the operating member is urged by the spring.

  • Patent number: 5291630
Abstract: A door closer comprises a housing containing a cylinder and two movable pistons. When the associated door is opened, both of the pistons and the cylinder are moved relative to the housing to draw oil into the cylinder. Expulsion of oil from the cylinder through an orifice on closing of the door controls the closing movement.

  • Patent number: 5174192
Abstract: A piston for a door closer comprises metal cups on opposite ends of a stem. A plastics ring is a snap-fit in one of the cups and protrudes from that cup to seal against the wall of a cylinder. A groove in the side wall of the cup for receiving a rib on the ring is formed by pressing a substantially flat blank before the blank is formed into the cup.

  • Patent number: 4937914
Abstract: The piston of a door control device is assembled from a channel and cups welded on to opposite ends of the channel. A valve assembly is mounted in one of the cups. Rollers extend between opposite sides of the channel and co-operate with teeth on a rotatable member to which a control arm is secured.

  • Patent number: 4883220
Abstract: A continuous partially preprinted, preglued form suitable for subsequent envelope construction comprises a single web partially preprinted on one side, having detachable marginal feed hole strips parallel with each longitudinal edge, and transverse marginal lines of perforations defining individual envelope forms with two transverse lines of perforations defining fold lines intermediate the marginal lines. On the side of the web opposite the preprinting, a first transverse adhesive strip is disposed immediately adjacent one of the transverse marginal lines and a second transverse adhesive strip is disposed parallel to the first transverse adhesive strip intermediate between that strip and the adjacent fold line. Two first aligned longitudinal adhesive strips lie parallel to one of the longitudinal edges adjacent a marginal feed hole strip with one adhesive strip extending between the transverse adhesive strips and the other extending between the transverse fold lines.

  • Patent number: 4850947
Abstract: Apparatus for processing multisheet or manifold business forms assemblies comprises at least one pair of rotary slitters, a male crimping die or punch associated with one of the slitting blades of the pair for rotation therewith, and a female crimping die or punch receptacle associated with the other of the slitting blades for rotation therewith. Upon rotation of the slitters and their associated crimping dies, the manifold assembly is concurrently slit and crimped to produce locks or paper staples in the body of the assembly. These paper staples effectively hold the various sheets of the assembly in registration or alignment during subsequent processing, but readily permit separation of the various sheets of the assembly when desired.
