  • Patent number: 4696508
Abstract: A vehicle seat positioned on a vehicle over a battery having a battery housing surrounding the battery with the housing including at least one vertical fore-and-aft extending wall positioned alongside the battery. The seat is mounted on a seat frame that can swing vertically about a transverse axis at one end of the frame. The vertical housing wall has a vertical opening therein with opposed vertical edges and with one of those edges having vertical spaced notches therein. An L-shaped latch rod is positioned on the under side of the seat frame and the rod includes a horizontal portion that is journalled on the underside and a vertical portion that extends alongside the housing wall with a lower inwardly extending end that projects into and is adapted for seating in the notches. The opposite end of the horizontal rod portion has a lever thereon that may be utilized to move the lower inwardly extending end out of the notches.

  • Patent number: 4580811
Abstract: A counterweight assembly is mounted at the rear end of a vehicle adapted for having an implement mounted to its forward end. The counterweight assembly is incorporated into a rear bumper assembly and includes rectangular weights having notched lower edges received on a pair of transversely spaced bumper mounting rods. The mounting rods are received in holes provided in a rear cross member of the vehicle frame and have nuts received on threaded forward ends.

  • Patent number: 4565407
Abstract: A vehicle seat is mounted on a platform that is pivotally mounted to the vehicle frame for movement between a lowered, operating position and a fully raised, non-use position. A holdup mechanism is coupled between the underside of the platform and the frame and includes a prop link having an end received in a guide slot provided in a bracket secured to the platform. The guide slot defines a plurality of notches therealong and a spring urges the prop link so its end will automatically enter an adjacent notch upon releasing the platform during lifting or lowering the platform to or from its fully raised position. A release mechanism is provided for moving the prop link against the action of the spring so as to permit the platform to be lowered.

  • Patent number: 4399882
Abstract: A transmission control mechanism for a vehicle having a dual hydrostatic transmission vehicle drive system having a first and second lever mounted to respective displacement control rods of transmission pump units. A cross member communicates with the levers via connecting rods. A steering column is mounted to the cross member. The steering column is mounted in the vehicle such that it can experience simultaneous rotational and pivotal motion. Pivoting of the steering column causes the pump units to displace with a constant relative displacement, and rotation of the steering column causes the pumps to displace with a differential relative displacement.
