  • Patent number: 5251092
Abstract: A power receptacle assembly includes a plurality of AC snap receptacles each having a base containing three insulation displacement connectors and each electrically connected to a female receptacle connector element. A snap-on retainer forces three insulated power conductors into the three insulation displacement connectors causing knife blade edges thereof to displace insulation and electrically connect inner conductor elements of the insulated power conductors. The snap-on retainer of one of the AC snap receptacles also receives three slotted male tab friction fit connectors to electrically connect them to the three power conductors, respectively. The three slotted male tab friction fit connectors are connected to a printed circuit board that interacts with the three power conductors. Each slotted male tab friction fit connector has an elongated slot separating two bifurcated prongs, outer edges of the prongs frictionally engaging inner surfaces of the insulation displacement connectors.

  • Patent number: 5103289
Abstract: A dual SIP package for encapsulating a plurality of semiconductor die includes a first group of elongated metal leads each having first and second end portions, and a first group of enlarged metal pads each attached to the first end portion of one of the leads of the first group, a second group of elongated metal leads each having first and second end portions, and a second group of enlarged metal pads each attached to the first end portion of one of the leads of the second group, each of the pads of the first group being parallel to and aligned with a corresponding pad of the second group to form a pair. The first end portion of each of the leads of the first group is parallel to and aligned with the first end portion of a lead of the second group. Each of the die is disposed between and connected to a pair of the pads. The bottom electrode of each die is attached to a pad of the first group, and the top electrode of each die is attached to a pad of the second group.

  • Patent number: 5010438
Abstract: A plug-in surge suppressor module for insertion into a circuit breaker panel includes four stacks of metal oxide varistors (MOVs) arranged in a cloverleaf pattern on opposite sides of an elongated copper ground bus attached to one lead of each of the metal oxide varistors. The other leads of two of the stacks of metal oxide varistors are attached to a terminal of a U-shaped first resistive wire fuse, another terminal of which is connected to a first AC power line conductor. The other leads of the other two stacks of MOV's are attached to a terminal of a second U-shaped resistive wire fuse, another terminal of which is connected to a second AC power line conductor. A monitor circuit senses the presence of power and continuity of both fuses by pulsing a light emitting indicator diode every cycle of the AC line. A low frequency oscillator circuit produces slow blinking of the light emitting indicator diode which alerts an observer to replace te surge suppressor module if one of the fuses fails.
