    Abstract: A device for measuring the color of a sample is provided comprising: a camera for transforming received light into electrical signals providing color information, the camera being positioned with respect to the sample to receive at least a portion of any light reflected by the sample; and a signal processor, coupled to the camera, for processing electrical signals produced by the camera to obtain the color information about the sample embedded in the signals.
