    Abstract: Systems of battery cells and batteries are monitored via sensing probes arranged in assemblies providing digital output signals which indicate sensed physical parameters. Digital data strings are provided to the probes and modified to reflect present values of the sensed physical parameters. The resulting digital data strings are processed and compared to stored historical data to monitor and forecast performance of a system of connected batteries.
