  • Publication number: 20240049999
Abstract: A method for determining the reliability of an analyte sensor is disclosed. The analyte sensor is an in vivo sensor. The method includes measuring at least one first temperature dependent signal, measuring at least one second temperature dependent signal which is different from the first temperature dependent signal and which is related to a current flow in the analyte sensor, and correlating the first temperature dependent signal and the second temperature dependent signal for determining the reliability of the analyte sensor.

  • Publication number: 20230263435
Abstract: An analyte sensor system (110) and a method (160) for producing an analyte sensor system (110) are disclosed. Herein, the analyte sensor system (110) comprises: an analyte sensor having a first contact pad, and a second contact pad; a circuit carrier having a first contact area, and a second contact area, wherein the second contact area comprises at least two individual electrically conductive surfaces; and a connecting element electrically connecting the second contact pad of the analyte sensor with each of the at least two individual electrically conductive surfaces of the second contact area of the circuit carrier. The analyte sensor system (110) as proposed herein allows a reliable and persistent electrical contact between the analyte sensor (112) and the circuit carrier (114) which minimizes a risk of short circuits.

  • Publication number: 20230233151
Abstract: A method for detecting a failure of at least one component of a continuous analyte monitoring system is disclosed. The continuous analyte monitoring system has a failure detection resistor and an analyte sensor having at least two measurement electrodes. A constant voltage is applied between the two measurement electrodes and a first response signal is measured. A failure detection signal that is distinguishable from the constant voltage and/or from the first response signal in frequency and/or in height is applied to the continuous monitoring system, and a second response signal to the failure detection signal is measured using the failure detection resistor. Information is determined depending on at least one actual property of the component by evaluating the first response signal and the second response signal. A failure is detected if the information deviates from an expected value by more than a predetermined tolerance.

  • Patent number: 10159784
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for initializing a dosing unit (20) of an ambulatory infusion system, the method including carrying out a first priming routine. The first priming routine includes: providing the dosing unit (20) with a dosing chamber (202) having a minimal dosing chamber volume, a draining valve (205) being closed and a filling valve (204) being open. The first priming routine further includes measuring an initial reservoir fluid pressure p2 and computing, a first priming volume v1. The method further includes increasing the dosing chamber volume by the first priming volume v1, with the first priming volume v1 being computed such that a reservoir coupling conduit is filled with liquid drug substantially completely at the end of the dosing chamber volume increasing. The first priming routine further includes closing the filling valve (204) and opening the draining valve (205) and emptying the dosing unit (20) by decreasing the dosing chamber volume to the minimal dosing chamber volume.

  • Patent number: 6561509
Abstract: A method is proposed for measuring thickness and detecting double and missing sheets during the sheet feed to a sheet-processing machine, such as a sheet-fed printing machine. A corresponding monitoring apparatus has one or more sensing elements above or beneath the sheet stream. The sensing element can be displaced, with an actuating device having an actuating drive, in the direction towards and away from the sheet stream. The actuating drive has at least one piezoelectric actuator or it is formed by the latter.
