  • Patent number: 8506582
Abstract: Various surgical assemblies are provided, one embodiment of which includes a substantially flat template having first and second opposed sides, and having a plurality of graduated markings on said first side, and a substantially flat, flexible, surgical implant removably secured to the template and having first and second substantially flat opposed sides, and at least a first trimable portion. The surgical implant is removably coupled to the template so that the first side of the template is substantially adjacent to the first side of the surgical mesh, and so that the plurality of graduated markings are substantially adjacent to the first trimable portion of the surgical implant.

  • Patent number: 7645227
Abstract: A pelvic floor implant including a central body portion having an anterior edge having a centrally located recess therein, a posterior edge having a centrally located tab, and first and second lateral side edges. First and second strap-like extension portions extend outwardly to first and second distal ends from first and second end regions of the posterior edge of the central body portion. The first and second strap-like extension portions extending outwardly at an angle so as to form a substantially “Y” shaped implant in combination with the central body portion. First and second pockets are located at the first and second distal ends of the first and second strap-like extensions respectively, each having a closed end substantially adjacent to the distal end of the strap-like extension, and having an open end proximal thereto and opening toward the central body portion.

  • Patent number: 7481314
Abstract: A package assembly for surgical mesh including a carrier assembly including a first substantially flat, flexible protective element having a periphery and positioned in a first plane, and a second substantially flat, flexible protective element having a periphery and positioned in second plane parallel and substantially adjacent to the first plane; and a substantially flat, flexible surgical mesh having first and second sides and positioned between the first and second protective elements. The first and second protective elements are further dimensioned to substantially cover the first and second sides of the surgical mesh respectively. The first and second protective elements are joined together along at least a portion of their respective peripheries, but along no more of the periphery than that which will allow the first and second protective elements to be separated from one another to allow removal of the mesh by a user without separating the joined portion of their peripheries.

  • Patent number: 3985227
Abstract: A one-piece folded suture package for a plurality of single or double-armed sutures comprising a front panel, a back panel and two inner panels. The sutures are individually mounted on the two inner panels with the needles at one end and the suture strand extending therefrom over the length of the panel and secured near the other end of the panel. The panels are offset in a vertical direction to expose the upper end of both inner panels and display the needles in two horizontal tiers. The sutures are removable from the package by grasping the needles and withdrawing the suture strand from between the panels of the package. The package is optionally provided with a cover flap to cover the needle display area and integral locking means to secure the package in its folded construction.
