  • Patent number: 9393126
Abstract: A spinal prosthesis for insertion bilaterally into an annulotomy hole created laterally in a spinal disc between two abutting vertebrae that is composed of a first elongated member having first threading at one end and an end cap at its other end, a second elongated member having an end cap with a threaded hole fixed to one end of a hollow tube open-ended at its other end. The members are telescoped together with the threading of the first member mated with the threaded hole of the second member and the open end of said hollow tube disengageably engaged with the end cap of the first member for rotation together. A method for bilaterally implanting the members of the prosthesis using a wire, and then telescopically mating them.

  • Patent number: 9364339
Abstract: An expandable spinal prosthesis is provided for insertion unilaterally into an annulotomy hole created laterally in a spinal disc between two abutting vertebrae. The prosthesis is composed of an elongated rod having first threading at one end and second threading at its other end. A first member is threaded on the threading at one end of the rod. A second member is threaded on the threading at the other end of the rod. The members are disengageably engaged for rotation together. The first member has a plurality of resilient bands extending longitudinally between the two members, which are dependent on the spacing between the two members.

  • Patent number: 8814937
Abstract: Prosthesis for inserting into a damaged intervertebral disc. The prosthesis has an elongated tubular main prosthesis body with a length to fit laterally from one side of a disc to the other at its mid-plane. The main prosthesis body is composed of two parts transversely oriented and has a vertical height deliberately greater than the height of normal disc space. Heads having a vertical height greater than the vertical height of the main prosthesis body are mounted on the ends of the main prosthesis body.

  • Patent number: 8187333
Abstract: Prosthesis for inserting into a damaged intervertebral disc having an elongated tubular main prosthesis body with a length to fit laterally from one side of a disc to the other at its mid-plane. The main prosthesis body has a vertical height slightly greater than the height of normal disc space of the damaged intervertebral disc into which it is to be implanted, and a shape in cross section normal to its longitudinal axis so that main prosthesis body makes appropriate contact with vertebrae abutting to the damaged intervertebral disc. Heads having a vertical height greater than the vertical height of the main prosthesis body are mounted on the ends of the main prosthesis body. A method for implanting from one side only and a method for explanting from one side only.

  • Patent number: 7677946
Abstract: The present invention provides interchangeable activity centers having a variety of themes, complexity, or content. Parents, teachers, therapists, or others can select, combine, and arrange two or more activity centers according to a user's interests and capabilities at that time. As the user develops greater skills or begins to lose interest, one or more of the activity centers may be removed, rearranged, or substituted for one or more other activity centers. This may lead to longer interest in the device and better correlate its subject matter with information or materials needed for further development.

  • Patent number: 7296775
Abstract: The present invention provides a rotatable storage device including a rotatable platform configured for storing and allowing ease of access to electronic devices such as, printers, facsimile machines, computers, scanners, and others. The rotatable platform include high and low voltage receptacle for connection to the electronic devices. The high and low voltage receptacles provide power, as well as data and voice communication to the electronic devices. The receptacles are connected to a rotatable connector allowing the rotatable platform and receptacle to be rotated in unison without the twisting or tangling of the power and connecting wires. The rotatable connector can take the form of sliprings, brushes, mercury rotatable connectors, or other known devises.
