  • Publication number: 20180066507
Abstract: A way to analyze/visualize the options available to safely and effectively drill an oil or gas well through a pore pressure/fracture gradient (drilling) window is presented. This method has not been previously recognized or developed and switches the focus from the traditional view using a pressure gradient (mud weight or density) to a view using pressure relative to the pressure that would be supplied by the mud weight that is in the well at a static condition (the baseline). This analysis/visualization has many advantages. It is easy to integrate Managed Pressure Drilling Operations, Horizontal wells, information from logging while drilling tools and in a real-time environment allows for the impact of operational fluctuations to be readily assessed and modeled. It is also envisaged that this analysis/visualization will enable regulatory authorities to better assess the safety of well operations reinforcing their ability to influence safe and effective drilling.

  • Patent number: 7077473
Abstract: Seat cushions are provided including a foam bun, including a first, generally planar central region and a second, generally non-planar region, the first and second regions being separated by an elongated trench, and, disposed in the trench, an elongated touch fastener strip having a first surface that is bonded to the bottom of the trench and a second surface that carries a plurality of fastener elements. The trench has at least a portion of its bottom surface that is inclined with respect to a plane that is generally parallel to the planar central region, allowing the touch fastener strip to be extended around a curve in the trench without buckling.

  • Publication number: 20030182771
Abstract: A releasable elongated strap of hook material. The strap has a hook side with hooks formed of synthetic resin. The hook side includes an area devoid of hooks formed of synthetic resin that is integral with a base layer from which the hooks extend. At least part of the area devoid of hooks has a molded matte surface suitable for being written upon.

  • Patent number: 6551539
Abstract: Methods of forming a releasable strap of hook and loop material and resulting products are shown. The strap has a hook side and a loop side, the hooks being formed of synthetic resin on a mold roll defining a multiplicity of hook mold cavities. A method is shown comprising providing a mold roll having at least one relatively wide hook molding region over which hook mold cavities are distributed and, preferably at least at one side, a relatively narrow region devoid of hooks, and utilizing the mold roll to form a continuous sheet of material having on one side a wide band of loop-engageable hooks and preferably an adjacent relatively narrow band devoid of hooks, providing loops on the opposite side of the material, and repeatedly cutting the material at a substantial angle to the machine direction.

  • Patent number: 6468055
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus comprising a pump unit 22 incorporating an engine driven low pressure pump for drawing fuel from a reservoir and an engine driven high pressure pump connected to supply fuel drawn by the low pressure fuel pump under pressure to a common fuel rail 18. The assembly also includes fuel filter 48 connected in the fuel flow path between the low pressure and the high pressure pump. The fuel filter comprises a fuel filter head 30 mounted directly on, or formed integrally with, the housing of the pump unit 22. The filter head 30 includes a plate 30b for mounting a filter housing 48 containing a filter element, and is formed with a first internal flow passage to enable fuel pressurised by the low pressure pump to be supplied to one side of the filter element and a second flow passage connected to the other side of the filter element to enable the filtered fuel to be supplied to the high pressure pump.
