  • Patent number: 11572059
Abstract: A method to detect whether combustion is taking place in an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle during operation of the hybrid vehicle, whereby a decoupler is provided between the internal combustion engine and an electric machine that serves to power the hybrid vehicle, comprising opening the decoupler between the internal combustion engine and the electric machine, receiving a speed signal when the decoupler is open, said signal indicating a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine when the decoupler is open, and determining, on the basis of the speed signal when the decoupler is open, whether combustion is taking place in the internal combustion engine. The present invention also relates to a control device to carry out the method according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20200173503
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method to detect whether combustion is taking place in an internal combustion engine (10) of a hybrid vehicle during operation of the hybrid vehicle, whereby a decoupler (13) is provided between the internal combustion engine (10) and an electric machine (12) that serves to power the hybrid vehicle. The method comprises opening (31) the decoupler between the internal combustion engine (10) and the electric machine (12), receiving (32) a speed signal when the decoupler is open (13), said signal indicating a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine (10) when the decoupler (13) is open, and determining (33, 38), on the basis of the speed signal when the decoupler (13) is open, whether combustion is taking place in the internal combustion engine (10). The present invention also relates to a control device to carry out the method according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 6640951
Abstract: A clutch actuation system includes an actuator drive for actuating the clutch, and a position control circuit having a controller determining a position of the clutch and to which a position setpoint value is fed and a measurement signal, representing the position, of a sensor is fed as an actual value. A filter that filters interference oscillations out of the position signal is inserted into the position control circuit. The stop band of the filter depends adaptively on the rotational speed of the drive engine of the motor vehicle, in particular, the stop band corresponds to the speed.

  • Patent number: 6612964
Abstract: In a method of controlling a transmission ratio of a continuously variable toroidal transmission, a holding force for an intermediate roller is pilot-controlled as a function of the torques acting on the toroidal disks and of the pivoted position of the intermediate roller, and/or the adjustment path of the intermediate roller is fed back statically or dynamically into a control circuit.

  • Patent number: 6533703
Abstract: A motor vehicle drive and a method for controlling a motor vehicle drive in which control signals, by reference to which a set position is set, are transmitted from a superordinate controller to a subordinate clutch position controller. An actual position signal is transmitted from the position controller to the controller. A feedback message is transmitted from the controller to the position controller via an efficient interface, and the controlling quality is thus optimized by the position controller in accordance with the respective travel situation.
