  • Patent number: 9465407
Abstract: A user interface of a controller has multiple touch-sensitive input transducers, e.g., capacitive pads. The pads are dynamically indicated: When any given touch sensitive input device is needed for input at a given step of the programming operation, an associated light source illuminates that input device so it is visible to the user. Those touch-panel input devices not needed for that are left unilluminated, and the microprocessor ignores any input from those input devices. At each step of the operation or programming of the controller, only those input transducers for the inputs that are permitted or relevant to that state are indicated. Correspondingly, only the inputs that are generated by actuating the input transducers for the valid (i.e., permitted or relevant) inputs results in a change in the state of the program in the microprocessor.

  • Patent number: 9119348
Abstract: An implement is coupled to and pulled by a tractor. The tractor includes ground engaging drive wheels driven by an engine, an operator movable speed command device, and a tractor controller having automatic and manual speed control modes. The implement has an implement control unit coupled to the tractor controller. The implement control unit transmits an implement speed request signal to the tractor controller. The tractor controller controls tractor motion in response to operation of the speed command device and the implement speed request signal.

  • Patent number: 9089095
Abstract: A tractor includes an electronic tractor controller. A baler includes an electronic baler controller. The baler controller submits a halt signal to the tractor controller when a bale size is equal to or exceeds a first predetermined size. The baler controller generates a tractor halt signal in response to certain conditions of the baler system and the tractor controller preventing tractor motion in response to the halt signal. When the baler controller is generating the halt signal, tractor motion is enabled if the operator commands the tractor to move by manipulating the command device, and within a certain time period of said command being issued, the baler controller generates a tractor motion enabling signal in response a status of the baler system. When the baler controller is generating the halt signal, tractor motion is enabled if the operator moves the tractor command device in a special manner.

  • Patent number: 8857904
Abstract: A head-rest of a vehicle seat with a deformable central supporting body which forms an impact zone for the head of a vehicle occupant and into which the kinetic energy of the head in the event of an accident is admitted. On both sides of the impact zone the central supporting bodies are joined by lateral supporting surfaces which are extendable out of the plane of the head-rest in the direction of travel in order to laterally support the head. In order to avoid or at least to reduce the risk of a cervical-spine whiplash injury, it is proposed according to the invention that the head-rest comprises a device for absorbing the energy admitted into the central supporting body and for outputting the absorbed energy in order to activate lateral supporting surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20140101158
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for file handling in a hierarchical storage system. A user virtual file system scans, reads and analyses data or user behavior to create or modify at least one rule or metadata. The user virtual file system identifies logical or temporal relationships of files based on the at least one rule or the metadata. The user virtual file system groups identified related files in the at least one container. The user virtual file system moves the at least one container to different tiers of storage based on the at least one rule or the metadata.

  • Patent number: 8527156
Abstract: A tractor comprises a tractor frame, driven ground engaging means, and an electronic tractor controller. A baler comprises a baler frame coupled or connected to the tractor frame, a crop receiving means, a baling chamber, a bale size sensor associated with the baling chamber, and an electronic baler controller. The baler controller is operable to submit a halt signal to the tractor controller when a bale size signal provided by the bale size sensor indicates that a bale has reached a size equal to or exceeding a first predetermined size. A control method includes the baler controller generating a tractor halt signal in response to certain conditions of the baler system and the tractor controller preventing tractor motion in response to the halt signal.

  • Publication number: 20110202246
Abstract: A system for controlling a parking brake for a motor vehicle includes a first operator control arrangement and a control unit. The control unit puts the parking brake into a disengaged position by actuating a first electrical actuator when it recognizes a release request on the first operator control arrangement. In order to release the parking brake at least in the event of a fault in the first operator control arrangement and/or in the first electrical actuator, provision is also made for the control unit to put the parking brake into the disengaged position by actuating a second electrical actuator, which is independent of the first electrical actuator, redundantly when it recognizes an emergency release request on a second operator control arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6581738
Abstract: An emergency release device for the parking lock of a motor vehicle is described which contains an locking device (46,44,38,24,12,10) that is pressed into its engaged position by a spring element (42,50) and which can move into its disengaged position by at least one actuator (46) that is actuated by a control element (56,58) against the spring force. The locking device (46,44,38,24,12,10) can be linked with a clutch pedal located on the operator's station by releasable mechanical connecting elements (108,110,112), in such a way that it is possible to emergency-release the parking lock in case of vehicle malfunction.
