  • Publication number: 20140308055
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductive member to move in a rotational direction, a charging unit to charge the photoconductive member, a discharging unit to discharge a portion of the photoconductive member to form a latent image thereon, and a plurality of ink applicator units to sequentially apply a plurality of ink layers, respectively, toward the latent image to form an ink image. The image forming apparatus may also include an image transfer blanket to receive the ink image including the plurality of ink layers from the photoconductive member.

  • Publication number: 20130163033
Abstract: An image forming system and a method to order at least two print jobs in a print queue of an image forming system are provided herein. The method ranks the at least two print jobs set in the print queue based on at least one print characteristic. The method resets an order of the at least two print jobs in the print queue based on the rank, such that a first page of a second print job is ordered prior to a last page of a first print job.

  • Patent number: 8351815
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing vapor emissions from a printer may include a treatment chamber having an inlet and an outlet. While the printer is operating, vapor-laden air may enter the treatment chamber via the inlet and treated air may exit the treatment chamber via the outlet. While the printer is idle, the inlet and outlet can be sealed to prevent vapors located in the treatment chamber from being emitted to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 8156657
Abstract: In one embodiment, a measuring tool includes a transparent sheet; a first pattern of markings on the transparent sheet for measuring characteristics of a test sheet; and a second pattern of markings on the transparent sheet for measuring characteristics of a target image printed on the test sheet. In another embodiment, a measuring tool includes a transparent substrate and a reference image on the transparent substrate. The reference image includes an alignment pattern for aligning the reference image, a first scale for measuring distances in a first direction, a second scale for measuring distances in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a skew pattern for measuring perpendicularity.
