  • Publication number: 20100043711
Abstract: A material source evaporator for use with an evacuable interior deposition chamber in which evaporated materials are deposited on substrates comprising a container with an associated heater that can heat an vaporizable material provided in the container to provide a vapor thereof. A manifold having a plurality of output apertures also has an associated heater that can heat the material vapor provided in the manifold to remain sufficiently vaporous to pass out of output apertures which are in a selected pattern to provide a calibrated spatial distribution of material vapor that results in a deposition thereof in a layer on an adjacent substrate in a fixed position. Thus, the layer has a relatively uniform thickness.

  • Patent number: 7295330
Abstract: A materials properties measuring system for using electromagnetic radiation interactions with selected materials positioned at a measuring location to determine selected properties thereof having an electromagnetic radiation source along with a plurality of radiation convergence elements for receiving any incident beams of electromagnetic radiation including the source having corresponding selected cross sections substantially perpendicular to the input path, and for converging these incident beams into corresponding departing beams including to the selected material each having a selected cross section substantially perpendicular to the output path that is smaller than that of its corresponding incident beam, and transmitting them to a beamsplitter that has an area as great as any such element. An electromagnetic radiation receiver is provided to receive any beams of electromagnetic radiation incident thereon after propagating thereto from the beamsplitter.

  • Patent number: 5582646
Abstract: A method of, and system for, applying light beam producing systems such as ellipsometers, polarimeters, polarized light reflectance and functionally similar systems, such that a beam of light produced thereby is caused to be incident upon a process element at an angle in excess of an associated Brewster angle while enabling the production of a signal sufficiently sensitive to changes in process element parameters, for use in "real-time" process element process monitoring and control, is disclosed. In addition a process element processing system and electron beam producing system and light beam producing system combination system is taught, wherein the electron beam producing and light beam producing systems are mounted to the process element processing system, (typically a (MBE) system), by input and output interface systems present at a location appropriate for conventional Reflection High Energy Electron Diffraction (RHEED) systems.

  • Patent number: 5054063
Abstract: A sound-permeable disposable sanitary telephone cover attachable to the sound transmitting portions of a telephone for protecting a user from contacting the sound transmitting portions of the telephone and being exposed bacteria and other contagious and infectious agents carried by the telephone. The telephone cover comprises a disposable sheet sized to cover the sound transmitting members of a telephone, the sheet including a number of layers of material bonded together. One or more layers comprising the sheet may be water impermeable and may include a disinfectant to deter the transfer therethrough of bacteria and other germs. The cover is attached to a telephone through the use of an adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4997422
Abstract: A needle shielding device attachable to a hypodermic syringe for protecting a user from contacting the tip of a needle. The device comprises a generally cylindrical needle shield slidably engaging a syringe body for protecting a user from being stuck by the needle tip of the syringe. The needle shield continuously frictionally engages and grips the syringe body as the shield is moved between a retracted position wherein the needle extends forwardly of the needle shield and a extended position wherein the needle tip is protectively enclosed by the needle shield.

  • Patent number: 4966138
Abstract: A puncture protector having a flexible backing with adhesive on one side thereof and a shielding arrangement for blocking passage of needles, both of which can be conformed to that portion of the body of the needle user, often the fingers, which is desired to be protected.
