    Abstract: A wind turbine has a shaft rotatable about an axis, and a plurality of blades mounted on the shaft and arranged to be rotated by wind and thereby rotate the shaft, wherein each of the blades has an outer portion which has an outer edge formed at the outer end of a radius with a center at the axis of the shaft and extends rearwardly from the outer edge over a circumference described from the center, and each of the blades has an inner edge which is rearwardly offset relative to the outer edge in a direction which is normal to the radius.
