    Abstract: A metallic strip of a zinc alloy for attachment to a shingled roof to prevent or inhibit growth of fungus and moss characterized by the edges of the strip being folded over to form hems, a longitudinal crease or depression to sub-divide the strip into two longitudinally extending portions, with one portion being inserted under the shingles and being provided with openings for receiving nails for fastening the strip on the roof. Preferably, the crease has a pair of legs with reversed bends to provide a stop for limiting the insertion of the first portion under an edge of a shingle, and the other portions are provided with longitudinally extending creases and ridges to form strengthening ridges.
