  • Publication number: 20010031584
Abstract: A hybrid plug housing with a base body of plastic, with a conductor array installed permanently therein, where the contacts of the conductor array have a connecting area and a plug-in area. The plug contacts are surrounded laterally by a plug shell of the housing. The plug shell has an opening to accept a mating plug component on the end facing the plug-in direction. A process for the production of the hybrid plug housing makes it possible for the positions of the individual components to be adjusted precisely with respect to each other. The base body and the plug shell are not assembled until after plastic has been injected around the conductor array, which is held together by webs, and until after the plastic has cooled and the webs have been removed.

  • Patent number: 5014938
Abstract: A device for relieving the strain on cables, in particular mains supply cables to housings of electrical equipment, consists of two parts fitted into one another approximately concentrically, of which the outer part (1) can be fastened in a housing opening and the inner part (2) is rotatably mounted in the outer part (1), a central lead-through opening (14) for the cable, and also clamping fingers (12) which protrude into the lead-through opening (14), can be swivelled into the lead-through opening (14) by rotation of the inner part (2) relative to the outer part (1) and can be locked in a clamping position. In order to achieve a more reliable clamping grip and a simpler assembly, the swivelling direction of the clamping fingers (12) runs approximately transversely to the longitudinal axis of the cable lead-through opening (14), the clamping fingers (12) being arranged on the outer part (1) and lying approximately in the direction of the cable lead-through opening (14).

  • Patent number: 4872332
Abstract: In the setting of blind rivets, the rivets are placed onto a riveting mandrel having a thickened end, the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the rivet hollow space, in such a way that the rivet head rests on the side remote from the thickened end. Then the rivet, together with the riveting mandrel, is inserted into the bores of the structural parts. The rivet head is then supported by a holding-down part. Finally the riveting mandrel, for opening-out the rivet end projecting through the bores, is displaced against the pressure direction of the holding-down part.

  • Patent number: 4628722
Abstract: A blind-riveting tool for setting pull-type rivet assemblies of the kind which has a pulling head on the mandrel comprises abutment member and mandrel-pulling means each with a collet, the latter inside the former, resiliently urged open to admit a mandrel and arranged to be closed by advance of an actuating sleeve on the collet of the abutment member. The abutment member and mandrel-pulling means as a whole are slidable to and from, under air pressure, both having pistons, one behind the other, in a common cylinder, and are separable to effect a rivet-setting stroke by admission of hydraulic fluid between the pistons. Means is provided for delivering a fresh rivet assembly axially into the collets of the abutment member and mandrel-pulling means when they are open in their retracted positions. The tool provides for the rapid and reliable insertion and setting of automatically fed rivet assemblies of the kind referred to, while being easy for the user to operate.

  • Patent number: 4620825
Abstract: A split-setting pull-type blind-riveting assembly comprising a hollow rivet and a mandrel. The underside of the mandrel head is frusto-conical and terminates at flat surfaces normal to the mandrel stem. A portion of the mandrel stem adjoining said plane is squared off so that its corners deform the rivet shank before the underside of the mandrel head splits it into petals. Reliable splitting of the rivet shank into uniform petals is thereby reliably achieved.

  • Patent number: 4541602
Abstract: A pipe clip is provided having means for retaining the clip on a stud. Means for retaining a pipe on the clips comprises a flexible finger which embraces the pipe, and the means for retaining the clip on a stud includes a locking portion which is movable from a position allowing the finger to flex for admission of the pipe to a position in which it locks the finger in embracing engagement with the stud and firmly secures the clip to the stud.
