  • Publication number: 20240150418
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new whey protein hydrolysate having reduced allergenicity and retained immunogenicity. The new whey protein hydrolysate is also characterized by having a low amount of larger peptides. The invention furthermore relates to a method of preparing the new whey protein hydrolysates, uses of the new whey protein hydrolysates and food products comprising this new whey protein hydrolysate.

  • Patent number: 10633790
Abstract: A mooring member comprises a rope configured for extending between a vessel floating in a body of water and an anchoring device. The mooring member comprises a plurality of functional elements, wherein a first functional element is wound onto at least a portion of the rope, a second functional element is wound onto the first functional element, and so on, until an outermost functional element is wound onto a second-to-outermost functional element. The functional elements are wound in a helical configuration, and are configured to provide at least one of the following functions: damage protection, buoyancy, optical detection, sonar detection, stiffness control, and anti-fouling.

  • Patent number: 9289003
Abstract: A new type of cryoprotective agents that are useful for retaining the viability and metabolic activity of frozen or freeze-dried microbial cultures, is disclosed. The cryoprotective agent comprises compounds involved in biosynthesis of nucleic acids. Methods for the preparation as well as the uses of such cultures are given. Such cultures are useful as starter cultures in the manufacturing of food and feed products. Starter cultures of the invention include culture of lactic acid bacteria, e.g. Lactococcus species as well as other species.

  • Patent number: 8245798
Abstract: A female part intended for top hammer-drilling equipment includes a thread in the form of a ridge in a wall. The ridge is delimited by a crest and two flanks between which a likewise helical groove having a bottom runs. An end the of the groove is defined by a borderline, which separates the groove bottom from a part surface formed in the inside of the wall, the width of which part surface successively decreases in the peripheral direction, and which has a rotationally symmetrical shape essentially similar to the rotationally symmetrical basic shape of the thread.

  • Publication number: 20090181386
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining calving characteristics in bovine subjects, wherein calving characteristics comprise stillbirth, calving difficulty and calf size at birth, which are all economically important factors. In particular, the method of the invention involves identification of genetic markers and/or Quantitative Trait Locus (QTL) for the determination of calving characteristics in a bovine subject. The determination of calving characteristics involves resolution of the specific microsatellite status. Furthermore, the invention relates to a diagnostic kit for detection of genetic marker(s) associated with calving characteristics. The method and kit of the present invention can be applied for selection of bovine subjects for breeding purposes. Thus, the invention provides a method of genetically selecting bovine subjects with calving characteristics that will yield cows less prone to stillbirth, calving difficulties and undesired calf size at birth.

  • Publication number: 20090152014
Abstract: The present invention A relates to a female part intended for top hammer-drilling equipment and a method for manufacturing female parts. The female part has a thread in the form of a ridge (2) in a wall (5). The ridge is delimited by a crest (9) and two flanks (10) between which a likewise helical groove (11) having a bottom (12) runs. An end the of the groove (11) is defined by a borderline (18), which separates the groove bottom (12) from a part surface (19) formed in the inside of the wall (5), the width of which part surface successively decreases in the peripheral direction, and which has a rotationally symmetrical shape essentially similar to the rotationally symmetrical basic shape of the thread (1).
