  • Patent number: 6206605
Abstract: A wooden piece of furniture includes at least three rod-like elements each having shorter edges, longer edges and an end portion of a rectangular cross section with a ratio of approximately two to three. The cross section is formed by the shorter and the longer edges. Slits are located in the end portion of each of the rod-like elements. The slits are arranged in the middle between and parallel to the shorter edges. The depth of the slits corresponds to the longer edges, and the width of the slits corresponds to one third of the longer edges. Cutouts are located in the end portion of each of the rod-like elements. The cutouts are arranged parallel to the longer edges, the depth of the cutouts corresponding to the shorter edges, and the width of the cutouts corresponding to half of the shorter edges. Extending times each formed by one of the slits and one of the cutouts are located in the end portion of each of the rod-like elements.
