  • Publication number: 20070253533
Abstract: In order to simplify the temporal correlation of medical data, medical data acquisition systems are synchronized with a local time server. The local time servers can obtain time information from a time signal transmitted by radio and received by a receiver, or can retrieve it from a global time servers.

  • Patent number: 6789940
Abstract: A multi-functional X-ray examination has a base, a guide rail attached to the base and two trucks that are attached to the guide rail and are movable along the guide rail. An X-ray exposure system is movable in the longitudinal direction with the first truck, and a patient support mechanism is movable in the longitudinal direction with the second truck. The two trucks can be driven along the guide rail independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 6422241
Abstract: A medical device has at least one displaceable components and a selectively positionable operating unit having a control element for directionally controlling the displacement of the displaceable component. An operating unit position detector and changeover unit is connected to the operating unit and detects the orientation of the operating unit relative to the displaceable component and automatically changes the directional function of the control element in dependent on the orientation of the operating unit relative to the displaceable component.

  • Patent number: 5923724
Abstract: In a medical X-ray diagnostic installation and a method for operating same, an X-ray source has a filter means optionally introducible into its beam path and emits X-rays which strike a detector having individual pixel elements and which generates image signals pixel-by-pixel dependent on the received radiation. The detector is followed by a signal processing chain which includes processing meansfor image generation and output, first and only image exposure of the examination subject initially ensues without the filter means introduced into the beam path, after which the image signals obtained from one or more picture element regions of the received image are processed pixel-by-pixel for generating a calculated image corresponding to the image of those regions which would be obtained with the filter means in the beam path, using signals which identify a position of the filter means in the beam path.

  • Patent number: 5349585
Abstract: A method for transmitting two digital signals includes utilizing an encoder to generate a pulse of a fixed width in a coded signal each time a positive going 0-1 transmission is detected in the pulse channel. The polarity of the pulse generated by the encoder is defined by a signal present at the signal channel input. The two digital signals are separated after transmission by a decoder which utilizes the time between two successive level changes. A signal edge in the coded signal initiates a time measurement by the decoder and when a further signal edge appears within a fixed time limit then a signal is allocated to the pulse channel. When, instead, no further signal edge appears within this time limit, the signal is allocated to the signal channel of the decoder.
