  • Patent number: 5136521
Abstract: A punching machine has a punch holder driven under the influence of a first control device and a second control device for adjusting a die holder in height relative to a supporting face for sheet type material to be worked. There are measuring devices producing a first data signal representing the height of the die to be used, a second data signal representing the height of the punch to be used and a third data signal representing the thickness of the material to be worked.

  • Patent number: 4951495
Abstract: A machine tool, in particular a machine for working with punches and dies parts formed from sheet material, comprises an essentially C-shaped frame made up of two parallel-connected, essentially C-shaped frame parts. The first frame part is designed to absorb the reaction forces from forces exerted by tools placed between the arms of the C-shaped parts. The second frame part is designed to hold the tools in a desired position relative to each other. The two C-shaped frame parts near the ends of the arms thereof are connected to each other only by means of a hinge joint between the bottom arm of the first C-shaped frame part and the neighboring bottom arm of the second C-shaped frame part, and a connecting element which at one side is hingedly connected to the top arm of the first C-shaped frame part by means of a hinge joint and at the other side is connected to the top arm of the second C-shaped frame part.

  • Patent number: 4690718
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for making the cable core of a telecommunication cable water-tight in the longitudinal direction, in which a filling material having a base of petroleum jelly is heated to a temperature above the drop point, is supplied under pressure to a filling head (5), is divided into a number of jets distributed over the circumference of the cable core, is passed through the filling head (5) with simultaneous conversion of the static pressure into kinetic energy and is injected through the outer layer of the cable core into the heart of the cable core, in which a reconversion of the kinetic energy into static pressure is effected and all the interstices and gaps between the single wires of the cable core are filled with the filling material.

  • Patent number: 4080773
Abstract: Apparatus for filling a receptacle with oblong articles such as spinning bobbins and the like, the articles having an identical shape and being parallel with respect to each other, a feed path for articles having a directing device at its receiving end, directing them to a receptacle, being an oblong intermediate space or container subdivided into compartments by partitions extending in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the intermediate space or container, as far as the bottom of the same, while in a longitudinal direction over the surface of said feed path, a pair of guide rulers are arranged, movable from a position in which the articles are guided toward a particular compartment, to a position in which the articles are guided toward another compartment.

  • Patent number: 4078282
Abstract: Apparatus for the removal of yarn residue from a bobbin, cop carrier or the like, comprising a cutting element, supported by a movable support and a sensor, being formed by an elongated finger which is slidable longitudinally in a bore of a holder mounted on the support over a predetermined limited distance. The free end of the finger converges to a point at said free end and is adapted to bear near the cutting element on the bobbin or the like which is to be cleaned. The sensor is spring biased longitudinally in the direction of said free end.
