  • Publication number: 20070007480
Abstract: An anti-coking valve arrangement having a valve body that defines a passage for the flow of fluid medium. Valve seat and valve member positioned within the valve body and function to control the flow of fluid medium. A first anti-coking device is operably associated with the valve stem. A second anti-coking device is operably associated with the bearing guide member. A third anti-coking device is operably associated with the valve member and the valve seat. A fourth anti-coking device is operably associated with the valve stem and the bearing guide. A fifth anti-coking device is operably associated with the bearing guide. A sixth anti-coking device is operably associated between the valve stem and the bearing guide.

  • Publication number: 20060255308
Abstract: A valve arrangement having a valve body with an inlet passage and an outlet passage. A valve seat is disposed in the valve body and forms an aperture positioned in the path of fluid flow between the inlet and outlet passages. A shaft member is disposed within the valve body and has a flow control member connected to the end of the shaft. The flow control member has a valve portion for operably engaging the valve seat and a valve extension portion that extends from the valve portion and circumscribes the shaft in order to shield the shaft from being exposed to contaminants. The valve portion and valve extension portion are integrally formed into a one-piece member thus eliminating an additional component in the valve design.

  • Publication number: 20060185464
Abstract: The present invention relates to a linkage assembly for obtaining a mechanical advantage having a first lever having a first end and a second end. The first and second levers are connected by mechanical connection. The mechanical connection is made of the second end of the first lever as being a pin that is slidable disposed within a slot formed on the second end of the second lever. In order to prevent build up of debris between the slot and the pin another embodiment of the present invention incorporates the use of anti-contamination members. Another embodiment of the invention involves placing a guard member on the pin in order to prevent the build up of debris between the pin and slot. The guard member includes scrapers that will scrap debris off the slot as the pin slides along the slot.

  • Publication number: 20050274367
Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) arrangement having an intake manifold with a valve base assembly integrated with the engine's intake manifold. The valve base assembly has a valve seat positioned in the path of fluid flow through the valve base. A valve member is also contained in the valve base and is operably disposed in relation to the valve seat. An actuator is connectable with the valve base and with the valve member to open and close the valve seat in response to actuation of the actuator. The actuator can disconnect from the valve base and valve member.

  • Publication number: 20050028798
Abstract: A new and improved EGR valve having a valve body having an inlet port and an outlet port with a valve member moveably supported within the valve body between the inlet and outlet ports. A control cap is connected to the valve body and contains an integrated sensor that is used to provide an engine control module with pressure readings from the valve body and the interior portion of the cap. Additionally the cap also has an integrated zero emissions system that is capable of preventing the release of harmful chemicals into the atmosphere.
