Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the use of alkoxylated fatty amido alcohols in the process to make viscose wherein cellulose is reacted with lye and the lye strength is from about 8 to about 20% by weight of NaOH, based on the weight of water in the reaction mixture. The use as a reaction improvement additive improves the reaction rate between the cellulose and the lye. The use also improves the reaction between alkali-cellulose and CS2. The present disclosure also relates to solid cellulose that is treated with one or more ethoxylated fatty amido alcohols and which is suitable for use in the claimed process.

Abstract: A formulation is provided comprising a) at least one agriculturally active ingredient; b) at least one amide of formula (I) wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of a non-aromatic hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 16 carbon atom and benzyl; R2 is selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and benzyl; and R3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 16 carbon atoms and c) at least one acyl morpholine according to the formula (II), wherein R is H, CH3 or C2H5. A method for treating a plant or seed with such formulation is also provided.

Abstract: Use of fatty nitriles as solvents in agrochemical formulations is disclosed. The fatty nitrile used as the solvent in some of the embodiments disclosed herein has the general structure R—C?N, where the R group is selected from substituted or unsubstituted, linear or branched, alkyl or alkenyl groups having 7-21 carbon atoms. The agrochemical in the formulations described herein can be any chemical useful in agricultural formulations, including pesticides, emulsifiers, and surfactants.

Abstract: Disclosed is an agricultural composition comprising at least one agricultural chemical and at least one cellulose ether, wherein the cellulose ether is a nonionic methylethylhydroxyethyl cellulose (MEHEC) polymer as well as a method for reducing spray drift during the spraying of an aqueous solution. The method comprises combining the MEHEC polymer with at least one agricultural chemical to obtain the aqueous solution and spraying the aqueous solution. Also disclosed is a method for increasing resistance to rain wash off of an aqueous solution sprayed onto a surface.

Abstract: A liquid composition is provided, comprising 2 to 30 wt % of a non-ionic water-soluble polysaccharide ether, 55 to 90 wt %, of a polyol having 3 to 4 hydroxyl groups, 5 to 25 wt % of water, and 0.1 to 5 wt % of at least one multivalent inorganic anion salt. The invention also provides agricultural formulations obtained by adding such a liquid composition and an agriculturally active ingredient to water.
